3.23 EXPLOSIVE ARROW BALLISTA ELEMENTALIST - League-Start to End-Game. Easy mode.
" You are right about the prices, which is why I decided to not run this build this league and instead am running Grim's LA Ballista and it's incredibly powerful and also crushing content but without the expensive EA Cost to cruise through red maps. Of course it does gets a bit expensive at the very end-game, but what build doesn't? and by that time you'll be loaded with currency. |

Fun build.

Heya, anyone got tips on what the next best upgrade is? Thinking of getting Hyrri's for spell suppression and damage so I can upgrade my boots from Atziri's. Also, for Lethal Pride, what are we looking for and how are they ranked? Here are some relevant nodes from POB: Burning Damage --Double Damage-- [edit: this only applies on the hit, not the ignite, so it's useless] Faster Burn Physical taken as Fire Totem Damage Totem Placement Speed [edit: I got one (node 16714) for 2 x 4% life, 10% ignite speed and 12% totem placement. will hold on to this for now.] Editado por útlima vez por limevan#7271 en 20 dic. 2022 0:22:30

This is probably a dumb question, but still fairly fresh at POE so I may have missed something in the content/videos included.
I did Flame Dash, CWDT, Molten Shell and Lifetap Support on my gloves (all linked). But due to CWDT, I cannot cast Flame Dash or Molten Shell (even though Molten Shell is on left click it's greyed out). Now for Molten I don't think that matters since it'll automatically cast due to CWDT - correct? But for Flame Dash, am I no longer allowed to cast manually? Trying to minimize my questions but that one I'm stumped on... Thanks! |

CWDT has a level threshold, so for example, if you're using a level 1 CWDT, any linked gems that require level 38 and below will trigger when CWDT triggers.
In the same example, let's say your Flame Dash is gem level 1 and it's linked to CWDT. At gem level 1, Flame Dash requires level 10, so it WILL BE supported by CWDT and you won't be able to cast it manually. Instead, when you get hit enough to trigger CWDT, Flame Dash will activate. What you can do is to raise Flame Dash to a level BEYOND what your current CWDT can support. In this case, having Flame Dash at gem level 9 will bring its requirement to level 39. Since this exceeds the threshold of level 38, it becomes unsupported and you can freely cast it as if it were not linked to CWDT. Depending on what gem level your CWDT is, this threshold will increase, so you can level Flame Dash up accordingly. [follow up] While Molten Shell is "disabled" when it's linked and supported by CWDT, you can use the Vaal version of the gem. In this case, the original spell is still grayed out, but if you check your skill bar, there will be another identical skill with a red dot on it. This is the Vaal version and can be used any time you have killed enough monsters to fill its soul requirements. Most folks just use this on their left click so it gets cast whenever you have it up, but you can also hold off if you know things are going to get gnarly so you get a huge shield to buffer that incoming damage from hits. " Isn't rain of splinters a near mandatory for that build and currently at 4-5div? |

Played this during sentinel league and it slaps hard. I found my first mirror shard with this build. Came back to it this league after a bad build choice. Its still super nice. I'm pushing into content that I shouldn't be in at my level and with terrible gear.
Someone in the comments, (a couple of pages back) posted this link to a guide from Palestron on Maxroll: https://maxroll.gg/poe/build-guides/explosive-arrow-ballista-elementalist Its an amazing guide for this build and covers everything in so much detail. In conjuction with this guide, I've found it a massive help to my understanding on how it all works. Editado por útlima vez por DopeOnWax#7877 en 20 dic. 2022 13:33:58

I didn´t figured out how to add the exposure effect in this build, did I miss something? Where do u get it from :/

" Elemental Equilibrium on the tree; you need some source of flat cold/lightning damage on your gear and you can't have any flat fire damage. You can also use the Eldritch Implicit of 'Applies Fire Exposure on Hit', but the percentage is ~11% compared to the ~25% of EE. |
