3.23 EXPLOSIVE ARROW BALLISTA ELEMENTALIST - League-Start to End-Game. Easy mode.

When you have a lot of flat elemental dmg (cold and/or lightning) they just pop up from the hit before the EA explosion.
I can't run all my auras even with level 4 enlighten support.
Any tips?
Is this quiver that I crafted acceptable?

buy/get an ilvl 82+ hunter quiver

roll with Essences of Doubt until you hit another good suffix with it (preferable, any of the 2 DoT multi mods)

use annulment orbs to get rid of all the other affixes you don't want (most of the time a 2mod rare quiver)

craft "cannot roll attack mods" to fill up suffixes

Exalt the quiver 3 times (exalts are super cheap this league so we make use of that)

your average crafted quiver will look like this: average crafted DoT quiver

remove cannot roll attack mods and craft %increased Attack Speed as your last suffix from bench

Hi, im not an experianced player and my last league was Heist so i dont remember much. Decided to go with balista and now im at 90lvl with this gear https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/supergruchalysy1/characters
Atm im about to get a decent bow (im 2 divines apart from it) but im not sure what next. Or maybe i have something wrong in my build atm and have to change some nodes? I feel squishy and not sure why, can somebody give a small tip? I'll appreciate, thx in advance :)

What do u mean by ignite start?

Its just dot damage


There is no limit on faster ignites. You can go above 100% as there are diminishing returns.

Faster ignites simply shorten ignite duration and therefore stack a higher ignite damage per second

For example:
Base ignite duration is 4 seconds. You have 40 million total ignite damage = 10 million DPS (10 million DPS x 4 secs = 40 million total ignite).

Stacking 100% faster ignites gives you twice as fast ignite. Meaning you will then have an ignite duration of 2 seconds instead of 4 but still dealing 40 million DPS. So you have 40 million total ignite damage over 2 seconds = 20 million DPS.

Stacking faster ignites/burns is a great way of increasing DPS whilst keeping total ignite the same.

Going from 75% to 100% simply means his ignite burn in 3.18 was 2.3 seconds and now it is 2 seconds (assuming no other duration mods taken). If we take 40 million total ignite as an example, his DPS would have gone from 17.3million DPS in 3.18 to 20 million DPS now which is about 15% more DPS.

Going by what Eechye described though I believe there is probably something else contributing to his perception, most likely just being a greater increase in DPS meaning monsters are dying faster.

It looks exciting, but can I afford it with +- 18 divines ? I am not a crafter. It seems unreal to compose.
(I need helm, gloves, boots and watchers)
So, headhunter is really good with this build? I want to focus on map (juiced) farming
Hi guys, I've read many reddit posts and videos but it seems opinions are contradictory and I'm a bit confused about if flat elemental damage on the bow is good for EA ballistas or not.

Palsteron says in his video that we are not interested in flat damage in bow, only gem levels and attack speed (and dot or fire multiplier). Other people say flat dmg on bow only affects first hit and not explosions, others say any flat damage to attacks are added to the explosion and ignite damage.

So let's say for example Storm Cloud. EA Ballistas only benefit from the 40% attack speed but not from the 1-85 added lightning damage? Or it does but the bonus it's just so small that is negligible?

For example, many people wear Hyrri Ire for the huge flat cold damage to bow attacks that people say it raises the DOT damage of EA, but almost no people have flat damage in the actual bow. Thanks in advance for any clarification.

All damage gets added to ignite, including flat cold and lightning.

Hyrris and blizzard crown are the most notable given their bigger numbers.
