Regret Buying Supporter Packs for this game

After reading the upcoming changes I came here to say that exact thing. I used to have fun in this game, would struggle a little towards maps but wouldn't really hit a wall until late yellow/early red. Now with all the nerfs and "balance changes" I find myself struggling in the second half of the acts and hit that wall at the beginning of maps, when mapping is just the beginning of endgame now. They effectively only want the top 5% to even see endgame content without wanting to tear their hair out, and want to keep balancing the game around that 5% from the sound of it. Not only is that going to drive existing players away, it's also definitely going to keep new players away. The game is already hard enough for new players to learn (I didn't feel I had learned most of the basic mechanics until 200-300 hours in), now they plan on making the beginning even harder. I've already been put off from the game in recent leagues because the new difficulty spikes making most everything but boring meta builds (I'm looking at you, summoners) viable, but now I think I'll be calling it quits if they plan on continuing down this path. I hate how every dev thinks that difficulty = quality now.

tl;dr game isn't fun anymore unless you hate yourself like dark souls players, play strictly meta builds, or are a galaxy brain top %er. i'm out.

GGG's rebalancing the game in a bad way.

Nerfs to builds are fine, but also buffing monsters to be as terrifying as they used to be starts to take things too far. I wasn't much of a fan of acts 3 and 4 when they were new and Malachai was a huge pain in the ass, especially because of how monsters could wreck through my minions. If GGG intends on going back to making everything instakill you again like before, I'm gonna have to double down on skeleton summoner to take advantage of the Blessed Rebirth delirium jewel passive.

Once again, poor players get fucked while appealing to bored elites.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

The others found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on juice. I am not so foolish.
im also done. Liked feeling like a god and delete the monsters with just one attack. thats fun
Risitas meme clips will come soon after the 3.15 stream.

Looks like a way to slow down speedy bois or HC SSF players on day one due to reactive flasking and the need to acquire reliable ailment immunity by other means.

My guess is HC players will get classes that either have passive charge generation like Pathfinder or easy way to get ailment immunity like Hiero/Inquisitor/Elementalist.

I assume players will rip way more often once entering early maps (maybe even in campaign) considering reactive flasking, less flask charges and less duration of ailment immunity (1 second vs 4-5).

Anyways. The new changes have potential to make HC SSF day one races a new RIP festival and LOLW people will be happy for at least one league.
Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks

Also think these nerfs are garbage. If these changes stick I won't be playing (or paying) much IN STANDARD (where I've been playing because challenge leagues are too much punishment in too little time and standard punishes you just as much but without the crunch).

You wanna throw these awful nerfs, changes to flasks, triggered skills into HC or HC SSF league modes sure but FFS there's a reason some of us DON'T play those game modes at all - we want to have a little fun. That's getting harder and harder in this game. The new gems from last league were cool, the new gems in expedition look decent too. Stun flasks (huh?) and some of the other changes are just bad ideas.

I like the passive tree. I like the crazy (potential) for unlimited builds (despite that not REALLY being possible due to the continued unchecked aggression for normal players and casuals). I can deal with the RNG despite it being literally the most amazingly frustrating, trollish RNG of every game I've ever played. The mystery one-shots, the serious lack of transparency on certain stats (ex: some minion stats), and the disconnection handling are all garbage. The continued push by GGG to strongly encourage anyone except the bored HC SSF pros from playing is bad business and not something I can even slightly appreciate or even understand.

The microtransactions in this game are VERY expensive comparatively and a lot of research on whales is that they aren't very good players a lot of the time. Why you'd do more and more to scare away new whales or drive away casual whales boggles the mind.

Yeah. Pull that crap right out. See a lot of similar response like this. Maybe instead put some energy into making your game MORE attractive to new audiences, not less. No one likes being kicked in the sack over and over. That kinda seems like that's what you're wanting to introduce here GGG...

They said they aim to make the rest of the content as challenging as the league, so I'm not sure if that will be the solution.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
