Without Enlighten you can do the following:

Pride, Herald, Tempest, War Banner, Blood and Sand (optional). I included Blood and Sand because I actively manage stances. There is not enough mana to fit in Flesh and Stone.

My Leap Slam costs 0 mana because of the mana cost reduction. You either need enough mana regeneration for Leap Slam or link Lifetap to it.

The latest analysis for the second Enlighten is to link Flesh & Stone with Maim Support and War Banner. Blood & Sand is on longer needed in the set up because Maim Support with Flesh & Stone provides more damage and reserves less mana.

New player here, great guide, two questions:

1. Violent retaliation is not allocated, isnt it really good combined with ryslathas coil? I see people praise that combination all the time

2. Arena challenger seems too good not to take, but is it worth skipping Violent Retaliation/Reigning Veteran?

Violent Retaliation is really good for a hit/critical/impale build but not for a bleed build. The Attack Damage is Lucky does not affect bleeding damage. Also Violent Retaliation was redesigned in 3.16, not sure if the praises were as of 3.16.

I think the logic is to take Reigning Veteran with Versatile Combatant early on to get 60%/50% block chance. Later on, we switch from Reigning Veteran to Arena challenger as we transition out of Versatile Combatant and can no longer reach the 85% maximum attack block with Reigning Veteran. For example in PoB, my block is 72%/70%; if I take Reigning Veteran, I have no way of reaching 85%/70%.

Im just confused if losing +10 to max chance to block attack damage is worth gaining challenger charges. having 85% sounds really safe

If I decide to take arena, painforged, gratuitous and blood in the eyes, could you tell me the order in which i need to take these nodes?

You can take Blood in the Eyes, Gratuitous, Arena/Painforged. The last two are interchangeable depending on your priority.

85% sounds really nice but more defence is always trading off more damage. You can always experiment with it and see what you like, no build is the absolute best in this game. For example, if I am pushing from L90 to L95 I might go 85% block but after I would want more damage for bosses.

Don't worry about it. Each question is a learning opportunity for others as well.

Bleed explosion (also 20% more damage over time) is too valuable for this build to drop.

Why does Maim Support even work with Blood and Sand/Flesh and Stone if the latter is an aura?

Did you buy your Awakened Multistrike? Showing 56 ex on poetrade, not sure at what point in the build I should expect to afford that?

I bought Awakened Multistrike in week 1-2 when it was 12ex. I have a Feared showcase (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tn-8bOAkPY0) without Awakened Multistrike since I know it can cost more than the entire build. Looking at the awakened gem price history, Awakened Melee/Brutality don't appreciate in price as much as Multistrike (since Awakened Multistrike will converge to its Standard price ~65ex by league-end) so it's better to buy early if at all.

Ohh I forgot to check what flesh and stone does, I see that it causes maim so it makes sense it would be supported.
