[3.21] Cold Conversion Summoner | Build guides for all budgets | (Ghazzy Zoomancer)
It definately feels like you need to pump alot of investment into this build to get it feeling good. Normally I do freezing g pulse totems and that feels much cheaper to get going, it's also amazing for clear and bossing if you switch to ice spear.
Is it normally this expensive, or is it because the nerf to SO's has turned many people off spectres in particular, meaning there are less people crafting for this build?
I just got to 97 solo playing by delving now at depth ~360ish and decided it was time to do my Maven invitations. I've wanted to try to Crabs for bosses for some time but have been putting bossing on hold until I leveled up. Unfortunately, Delve is not a very safe place to level, atleast at deeper depths so there was alot of back and forth the last 2 days.
I've now acquired 2 decent endgame items for the intermediate budget, including both a proper minion wand and a decent minion helm. I got both items for 15 exalted orbs each. I also bought an Auls Uprising for 5 exalted orbs.
I wanted to post a video of what kind of damage you can expect running this build with those bigger ticket items. Some people seem to be having damage problems when going into the higher budgets so I wanted to see if there was something wrong with the build or just issues that could be fixed with the gear.
Eventhough I have two pretty expensive items, there's alot of huge upgrades left for the build and I have alot of scaling left to go through. For example, I don't have any clusters, I'm still running Victario's Charity, a literal 1 chaos unique, no + levels to spectre on boots and just using bare minimum rings right now. I'm also missing a curse on my animate guardian because he haven't bothered buying EW corrupted Gravebind gloves yet.
If you're done with the medium budget and starting to look into getting higher budget items like the wand and helm, this is the type of damage you can expect:
Helll, i wanted to know if i have triad grip with elemental weakness, woyld it be worth it if i changed my skin of the lords for an astral plate with additional curse so i could put 2 curses ( my specters would be 25+ because of the boots and weapon).
I'm hesitating because of the +2 all socketted gems and huge defence
Im not really going for this Cold Convertion build. but just simply stay Carrion golem Physical. Im around 8Mil DPS on POEB. No idea how I could get much higher... Im struggling hard with 1 shots and dieing often with 4.4k Life. Need always 3-4 Portals for Maven or Sirius atm. Tried Simulacrum and was Impossible to clear Wave 21 Boss, getting 1 shot everywhere, and my golems feel like they dont do enough damage fast enough.
Anyone got tips or a build to clear the uber content?
Thanks
Unfortunately, I don't know much about Phys.
You seem to run the classic Phys Carrion golem build, though with a Skin of the Loyal. I'm not sure how to scale that build but looking thorugh your build I don't know if you can do much more.
You can swap your CIPs for Convoking Wands with high minion dmg and minion attack speed rolls. You can also get something like a Brass Dome or Skin of the Lords chest for better survivability or damagde. Leve up your Awakened Gems for Crush and Intimidate.
Other than that I'm not sure.
Death's to bosses is on you unfortuatenly. Unless you invest into building an unkillable character or some shock immune shenanigans with 100% spell supression you will die to Sirus if you get hit. So you need to practice not getting hit unfortunately.
My build leverages alot of different scaling mechanics to push higher dps threshholds. That's why I decided to go cold to begin with, I always thought pure phys hit a dps ceiling pretty early. In the past, the only way to scale pure phys was to go Aura stacking and get ridiuclous Pride modifiers. That's not viable any longer.

Very cheap budgets with 1-10 chaos items won't feel good on this build anymore. It can carry you into red maps but you won't be doing any endgame bosses in a Tabula any longer.
It's entirely possible that a build like Freezing Pulse totems will feel better on a lower budget. I'm not sure since I don't play it.
But yes, you need higher investment for this build to start feeling comfortable clearing high tier red maps and things like Shaper Guardians/Sirus.
In particular, you want the Golem Jewels, a +3 Helm with Minion damage and level 21 skill gems supported by 20/20 supports at least.
Once you start getting upgrades the powerlevel starts to snowball but the initial take off is definitely slower. That's something I noticed early this league.
The extremely low budget version feels very good in white and yellow maps. But in red maps I felt that I needed to start invest my Chaos.

I personally think it's better to run Frostbite on your Animate Guardian instead. Running a +1 curse and +1 Spectre chest is also very good though. You could try it out but you lose out on Elemental EQ and the 100% global defense mod.
20% less elemental damage (24% cold) taken is very noticeable.
Without Skin of the Lords, Grace doesn't seem to be that great anymore though, so I think I'll change my Aul neck for a +2 one soon

That chest looks amazing.
You can run Vaal Haste instead of Grace. Might actually provide more dps than +2 neck. Not sure, haven't checked numbers.

Good call. I just checked and +2 is slightly better than vanilla haste. The additional movement speed however is already enough to justify keeping it.
I thought shaper influence had 2 good mods we can use so I had luck finding one for cheap, I did the numbers it's better than 3/18/18 one with about 6% more damage when we swap woke minion damage instead of 3rd red. I'm pretty happy but I need to work on my survivability now, the damage seems to be there now.
