"We make Heists shorter with less doors"

Let's be honest here though, do any of the heist mechanics do anything fun? Is the waiting interesting at all in any way? Should we just get rid of the doors in general.

according to the devs logic the "risk" part is the doors so mobs can gather and start pre casting skills to kill you..

I imagine it didnt work out very well considering the current economy meta.

Take me back when poe was the actual focus.
There is no risk. If u grab the loot get back to the "lobby" get your items unmarked as contraband and get back in heist to get your trinket. I know it's like delirium trackback but if u have valuable items it worth the effort.

Fresh one droped today. 4 doors into target and 4 doors to exit.

Indeed "shorter".
This is a reason that it is better to just skip Heists once you've done the challenges. Not really worth the time outside of cloned Grand Heists.

Even contracts acutally are giving more loot than maps. I do heists for the money, in spite of the bs layouts and doors. I still need to finish gearing a second exile.

Yeah that's stupid and they should change it when it goes core.

Just don't remove the portal if you died in the heist.
So you could still rejoin it, reach the place of the death and take contraband items again. Having to run back to place of the death and losing of 10% XP is enough penalty.
Nah I like the 'medium core' element of Heist, the game could use more high intensity moments, not fewer.

Just play Hardcore.
Forced "HC elements" in Softcore are awful. People playing Softcore for a reason, to have 6 portals for each encounter. Forced "one portal" shouldn't be a thing. The only place where it works is Delve, because there you can invite another player to pick up loot after you died, and could repeat the boss just for sulphite cost if you died.
