Right, the notes assume we have both mana reserve reduction clusters enabled, but that's not going to be the case...

Zizaran and Karvarousku were testing how Spellslinger would work with just the Charisma reserved nodes for leveling, basically you can still level but you have to start out with way less links for each skill, I think Karv had a 3 link ED with Cont + SR just on spellslinger, so ye obviously you do way less damage early levels but can still play with the one button style if you want.

Karvarousku might have a vod from last night where he was testing stuff, worth watching. Its also possible that just going straight ED/Contagion or Bane/Soulrend to level with is better than Spellslinger now.

Karv was still doing respectable damage though with few links on spellslinger setup so I think its playable still just not overpowered like it was pre nerf.

That's a nice table, thanks for finding it. I don't follow the streamers, so would not have seen it. (I still can't find it after searching for it.)

You have controlled destruction and void manipulation as the supports for soulrend and essence drain. These two have multipliers at 1.3 and 1.2, respectively.

However, CD is 25% more damage, but efficacy seems to be closer to 40% more damage, since all of the bonuses get multiplied together, if I understand it correctly. And efficacy has the same multiplier as CD. Isn't that a better choice?

99% reserved mana and 10 mana to cast frenzy, yes, it just fits.

I have it slightly differently than you:

ED + Spellslinger + Efficacy + Void Manipulation (+ CD for 5L)
SR + Spellslinger + Efficacy (+ Void Manipulation for 4L)

(I can swap Efficacy <-> CD if I misunderstood its damage.)

The below seems to be the upgrade path. I'm guessing you'll have a level 20 spellslinger by the time you hit level 92 (115 passive pts.)

So the question of the hour is: is ED(4L)+SR(4L) enough for yellow/red maps?

I'm torn myself. I played ED so much last league and I realy want a smooth leaguestart... But the fact that I played ED So much kinda makes me want to try something else, lol.

I used this build last league and cleared all content easily. But I'm in the same boat. I'm leaning toward trying something different just so I don't get burned out.

Are you going to post a new guide or a Youtube of what you end up league starting?

Ive done a simulation run with following links before harvest ended:
ED + Spellslinger + Efficacy + Void Manipulation
SR + Spellslinger + Efficacy + GMP

I had absolutely shit gear all rares and 3.1k life + 1.1K ES. I had done Merc Lab(needed this to survive in red).
Was able to blast rare T10 maps. Was also able to finish a rare T13 with damage mods.

Im going to do Spellslinger until Red maps and swap over to something else.
I finished up Level 69, check out my character ContagiousErectDrain, I left it there for now but will delete character later.

I'm going to make a new video today about General leaguestarting and just making sure you have a league start that feels good :)
