Cold ANIMATE WEAPON Summoner | League-Start & Leveling Guide

Speaking fo Delerium, has anyone else noticed the lack of scaling of the rewards the deeper you get? When they first announced Delerium, they promoted the idea that the reward quality would increase the further you got but I am not noticing that at all.

All I notice that if I was going to get 1 minor piece of currency originally, that I would just get more minor currency by going deeper.

Metamorph I think really spoiled me on the rewards.

Well, I do get more rewards the more stacks I get on the icon.

That said, I 100% agree with this thread on reddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/fixkb8/this_is_one_of_the_worst_leagues_of_risk_vs/

Right now, I will only do the good Deliriums. Like Scarabs, Currency, Harbinger Currency and so on. And those only to like 3-4 stacks. I feel like it is worth slowing down and carefully doing these Deliriums. And I will instantly click the skip button on any generic items Deliriums. They are simply not worth the big chance of dying and losing 10% exp.

If we could at least play around the one-shot mechanics... But they are so random and not even a little bit telegraphed or indicated, it is just a gamble right now.

The mechanic needs a HUGE rework or this league will be dead sooner than GGG think.

my hope is the chaos one - with Envy Aura from the chayula blade and white triad

its very annoying when you switch nodes in delves to resummon :/

I hope you didn't get that from my comment, although I assume you did, because it is not even remotely what I said.

And chaos will be by FAR the worst way to go. Both cold and phys outscale it by a ton.

Rotten claws, while being confortable, is not a "HUGE DPS GAIN OMG OMG OMG". It's close to renewal, without the condition. It's good without being mandatory. If you can't get it in less than 4 points in a cluster, it's barely worth it.

Obviously you want to get it in 3... And noone said it is "HUGE DPS GAIN OMG OMG OMG". I said it is the biggest DPS cluster node. Which is the truth.

And Renewal condition is met for like 20% of the time, endgame bosses do deal pretty big damage to our AWs and it takes them a while to leech back up. So for like 20% of the time the AWs will have a 10% chance to deal double damage. That is not even remotely close to the straight up 10-15% more damage Rotten Claws gives me all of the time.

I loved the animate weapons, they do a LOT of damage, really strong, but I think I'm going to change the build, because having to summon them every beginning of the map and sometimes even in the middle of the map, either for duration or for having died, it’s really bad for me, when I’m going to play in a group so people are in the front and I have to stay behind invoking one by one, this is very annoying, I know there’s a CoC build but I’m necromance then no flask sustain and I think that in longer boss fights, having to keep using the flask and wait for the worms to be killed and the flasks can end, I think it's bad.
I was wondering, what are the build possibilities that I can transact using the guide tree without having to use many regrets.

You don't summon them all at the start of the map. And not again in the middle. Summon 5-6 at the start, takes like 2 seconds. Then summon whatever weapon drops and you will be at max AWs forever, without ever stopping to resummon. Need to adjust your filter of course, but that is explained in great detail in the guide.

But if you are still set to swap, any other Necro minion build should require very few respec points.

Impale only works if you're scaling the phys version of the build though.

Once I hit 90 or so I'm gonna mess around with the impale switch using more currency, but until you have the setup for it I wouldn't bother with the impale node.

Renewal could be easier to maintain if you also take blessed rebirth to have them immune to damage. Just need to summon them more frequently.

My PoB shows about 3.1M DPS with my current setup.

Biggest issue I'm having is keeping the AW alive while in tier 4+ deliriums, which is why I'm gonna try and get blessed rebirth so that they can do more after I summon them and don't immediately die. Otherwise they tend to kill everything fast enough that they don't take much damage.

Yes, we were talking about phys before.

If you have a nice setup for cold already, I don't think the switch you speak of at 90 would be worth it. I think cold will be equal or very close to the phys version until you go in the the min/maxxing phase.

Or maybe it is, we never thought about phys having another advantage. You say your AWs die a lot. I am in T13 maps and don't think I have ever seen an AW die, even in huge Delirium damage spikes. The +6 levels the CIPs give me, do add a lot of life to them. Something to keep in mind I think.
