More Skillpoints?

I mean, this discussion kind of assumes that the tree isn't being fundamentally reworked to account for the new gems. But if it's not, it does seem tough to try to integrate this into normal pathing etc, especially since getting to the outer jewel slots is a big drain for a lot of popular builds. I'd like to think they've thought about and solved for that in one way or another...

Forum Crybabies: DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO BE WORTH TAKING ANY NEW NODES CRY CRY CRY

Jesus Christ guys you do this every league. Wait until we are told what we are getting before having a cry and assuming the worst. Or even better, go play something else if everything here sucks so badly.

Apology accepted. No further explanation of the meme build is needed.

So a support build is a meme build? Have to disagree there. Each to their own, I guess.

A bit redundant no? Obviously everyone's opinion and thoughts are their own.

Hell literally any build could qualify for this. Just have a friend that kills everything and you support them. What a terrible qualifier.

Builds running around picking up loot...lol nevermind carry-on support bots..er builds!

I dont want more skillpoints, I want a way to not have to build my tree obssessed with buying every single life or es cluster I can possibly reasonably reach, with only 1/4th of my points or less going into things that actually define my build and the ways I deal damage.

I am so tired of pathing to and filling out Constitution. And nerfing the wheel would only make me buy even less interesting things as I'd instead have to path further to less effecient life sources.

I don't care if my build will be crappy I just wanna experiment with the new jewels even if it requires the sacrifice of precious skill points.
Someone mentioned Balance earlier as if this game was truly balanced, which in reality is a far cry from balance. If considering that balance meant either you 1-shot or be 1-shotted then that is a complete farse. There is now regular mobs out there that can shred through the layers of most defenses and still leave you wondering wtf happened, not to mention the ultra boss buffs that can innately ruin any good map run, not including the stacking effects of map mods, sextants, etc.

Seriously thought the whole new approach to extending a skill tree was cool with the new jewels, but if sacrificing foundational aspects of any functional build to get a few extentions of something new costs to much to path to, then it is really pointless and just a tease. I just hope these Jewels aren't gated so severely behind content rng that most people won't even have the ability to experiment a little.

In Essence, I agree with adding more skill points as the OP stated. To throw this new content to the tree out there and not give some consideration to adding at least 5 skill points via objectives or some shit, is just not practical in my view without gimping your build further to handle the current state of end-game without dying a gazillion times in the process to 1-shot mechanics.
i doubt there will be more points

it's cost opportunity

NOTHING WILL BE SALVAGED
I wonder if after getting the jewel you can anoint the notable.
Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.
Well GGG wants us to play longer so this is one way to do it - have high incentive to get more skill points.

I'm hoping GGG has really thought about the issue that the jewels and notables better be good to warrant even bothering.

You are picking loot because you have "free time" to do this, as a support. Your role is to increase your friend dmg by like... 200%.
