hi, adding my setup. no blood rage but ias+lifeleech on gloves, belt with life. impale watchers+deep cuts jewel. 5k life, still got killed sometimes (one shot from minotaur what i remember recently :) ). max dps in pob with buffs +- 13M.
my ice golem build is cheaper and safer, better in mapping and also with bosses , only delve is worse. so i think melee build must be finished, cannot do halfway :(

I have really enjoyed this build. However, looking at all the posts talking about being one-shot, I felt I needed to join the discussion and I sincerely wish the OP would respond on this topic.
Something is wrong. I have 15k armor, 83% all block, overcapped res, 4mm dmg and 6k life. But, I am still getting one-shotted, even in low tier maps. (This is w/low level cwdt/ic and high level vms active.)
Someone much smarter than I needs to figure this out as the build is suffering badly from this mechanic. Some possible ideas:
Block Recovery - perhaps as of the latest patches, block recovery has been elongated and is simply not active all the time now. There are quite a few block recovery nodes on the tree, but I see no one using them.
Stun - our ascendancy gives us 75-83% elimination of stun, basd on block%. But, I also run Kaom's Roots for zero stun. However, at times, I still feel I'm getting stunned and I take a killing shot. Might there still be a problem here?
Res- even though I'm 77/76/76, I'm still getting hit really hard by some shots, even though I have freeze/chill/ignite immunity and shock is significantly reduced in both effect and time.
Chaos/Poison - I know the OP runs around w -60 chaos res, but I can't. And, it hasn't been very well explained just how this is possible in high tier maps and/or w bosses. Further, could we be seeing high dd chaos damage?
Finally Bleeding - most of us run a corrupted blood jewel. But regular bleeding can be nearly as fatal to cyclone, as the incredible move speed hastens life loss and death. Is thia a factor, but we don't see it in time?
We need some help here guys. This is not GITGUD, nor equipment, nor in most cased poor management. Frankly, I have no clue what it is, but IT IS REAL.
SO, like the post above states, if this melee build can't cut it at the top, and it can't be fixed so that it does, for many of us I'd say melee is not worth the time/investment or effort.
Thx for the guide, very fun build to play! Have reached lvl 95 and gotten most endgame gear except pride watchers eye. Have been thinking on how to take it further though, possibly with a cluster jewel setup, thread of hope, unnatural instinct and a lethal pride jewel.
Have made modifications to the original tree in pob (same endgame gear) so you guys can see what i have in mind.

When an attack is blocked, the game has already calculated how much damage and if the attack would have caused a stun. If it would have caused a stun, the blocking animation is played, stunning you briefly. If it would not have caused a stun, then you get a "free" block with no animation.

So from my understanding this means we can't be stunned when we block and the block recovery is unnecessary.
On a side note, I can highly recommend trying the Stampede boots on this build:
Stun and Block recovery (for the hits you don't block), 150% movement speed in Cyclone (and even in town), and an additional anoint.
Replica Stampede works fine as well, since we don't use the any movement skills with a cooldown. I will socket my Leap Slam in it when I sort out the other sockets.
