This is not Jugg. This is not some crazy stacking 10+ ES build. But we still have more defenses than a lot of other builds, you can just faceroll delirious maps and not die if you not onshotted pack of mobs. Instead of evasion-based builds, this one can damage and is not a glass cannon. It has more space for errors, but also suffers from some typical melee probles. I like it, but for some people it's not the build they should follow.
As it was already said, degen and oneshots are our best ways of dying, and you will die if you don't get a good HP pool.
Few recommendations and things I've found:
1) Enduring cry. Don't forget to renew endurance charges, they will save you.
2) Culling strike, precision.
For me, with precision I don't have enough mana to cast myself ancestral warchief, and having 100% uptime on bosses of vaal version is pretty hard, so I decided to not use precision on bosses. That allowed me to put culling support to ancestral warchief, which means a pretty ~10% DPS boost(boss basically has 90% of HP instead of 100%) and uptime of totem.
3) Flasks.
Here I have a problem - I do want extra MS prefix on Quicksilver, but that means sacrificing of one from "no curse", "no chill/freeze"/"no bleed". For now, I decided to play without curse flask.
Also, flasks give us survivability against degen, so having flask charges is important. Belt like that

can help!
4) Addition to flasks.

With this I've started to see a lot more chain explosions from chest, So I'm thinking about trying to add more increase to all/phys dmg into build.
5) Craft "+1 to melee strike range", it will give you a lot of QoL.
6) On tree I took "Rampart", it add to us extra fortify effect and MS.
7) Paradoxica. "trigger blood rage" will owerwrite your own, resulting with lower attack speed buff!
8) Ring.
Mod "herald of purity has increased effect" provide same dps boost as mod in the guide, so you can search for one of them, better probablility fo tind a ring with decent implicit.
Here is all my gear, still need to harvest craft second life on chest, replace belt with better one, boots with elusive, Watcher's Eye with impales, paradoxica...Atm I'm broke with less that 1 ex on hands after buing bottled faith lol
Spoiler

hello! i wanted to try the cyclone type of this build for my second character. Was wondering if it could clear the end game bosses like a8 sirus and maven with some room for mistakes. Also assuming i have your current gear. My character dies a lot right now lol.

This build is solid, but when i ran lab with this it seem to lack regen to counter traps. Anyome. Have some idea to modify this build so that it can run lab easier (aka can leap slam through traps with less care)

A few quick and dirty tipps without investing much:

- No abyssus in lab - can't compensate that +40% trap damage (beside the roost all are physical). Best is a helm with physical to fire + other goodies.
- Minor gods: Potion refill or less physical dot damage while moving
- Enduring cry on a second wind as secondary life potion. Have some enduring charges before traps.
- Use an enduring life flask before a trap field
- Use a long running basalt potion before a trap field

That's all not in single really good (beside point 1), but cheap and all together helping a lot.

I leveled stone golem, rejuv totem, and vitality in weapon swap.
Bought a cheap helm with max life >100 and ~29 life regen.
Found a trial in a map (have not completed any for final lab yet as I have been avoiding until I got my regen setup ready).
Swapped out abyssus that housed four auras for cheapo life helm with regen gems.

It worked beautifully. Highly recommend. 4/5 stars. (Still gotta be aware but it allows you to make more than a few mistakes.)

I'm good with doing this to complete final lab without my uber expensive gear yet.

Also going to take Golem's Blood pathed down from Defiance notable. It'll net you some extra defence, damage, 15% life plus life regen. It isn't much regen but it's better than just taking the 5% life nodes IMO.

I did only sirus A4 so far, it was tough, tho I died only to his storms(it was my first sirus kill, so I don't know fight really well).
I had only 4.2k hp, and that's not really high, still getting oneshotted in maps sometimes. The worst boss so far was hunter, you need to chase him a lot, and he applies a lot of DOT damage.
75% block chance + life recovery on hit already gives you room for mistakes, like none of sirus attacks really damaged me. But keep in mind that we don't have insane life regen, so you 're relying on flasks, that's why I use that belt. And I haven't tried maven yet, not farmed enough regions.
I do think that you need like 5+k hp for better bossing, but right now I can't reach that number :(
Hi guys,

Im reading here and there "maybe 5k+ life will help surviving one-shots". I can tell you, no, it wont, at least not at early stages. I'm sitting at 5.2k life and occasionally one-shots happen. Its frustrating but its the state.
I'm actually saving for some upgrades like "the Surrender", I think its a masssive game-changer for us.
I personally wouldnt recommend buying the, without doubt, fully overpriced "Paradoxia", cause a solid 1h Jewelled Foil will outpace this, especially when you invest 10ex+ into it (like our version of Paradoxia costs actually).
My Foil has actually 270dps and its OK, I can kill fast and good up to T16 with it (excluding Shaper Guardians), but once I got a 500+ dps Foil, things should run pretty with ease, and consider, killing fast is dying last!

1. Surrender
2. Foil
3. Ryslatha
4. -Mana + explode Chest

If you struggle with degen like I did, I recommend to fully upgrade your Pantheon (the OP suggestion) asap, this helps big.
Besides that, I read some stunned issues which I cant confirm. I got no issues at all with stuns, so I think its something on your gear or tree what differs from mine.
I prioritse the -Mana and Explode Chest as my last upgrade, cause its "only" a QoL in my eyes, not needed necessarily in the beginnings.

In general I'm noticing a survivability and damage progression while upgrading single parts of the gear (Pantheon upgrade, Gems 20/20, bigger life pool, stronger items in general).
So my conclusion is, yea it can really become what its described as "tanky", but surely not cheap and asap.

In terms of minmaxing with budged paradoxica is better. Mine, which cost me 8ex, outdps by 5% foil with 480pds, while foil costs 14ex, I checked it in pob. And mine paradoxica doesn't even have 28% quality, better tier of phys or attack speed + quality mod.

I personally will skip buying Paradoxica as said, because of the price drop it will have and priotising shield first. I wont say Paradoxica is a bad choice, no its not, but its a waste of money, specially in the beginning of the league. By the way, not Blind but Impale is your first choice on the Paradoxica.
My recommendations were also for ppl who cant efford such gear in the beginning and struggle surviving, thats why I said a 300Dps Foil will make it untill T16 as well, is by far cheaper, and gives more room for saving for the Surrender, cause this should be a game changer here, not the weapon in first place.

8k armor won't get you 60% or more physical resist. Look at the armor formula - armor can only block a certain amount of damage. A 3 k slam will go right through your armor. As a ballpark rule: 8k armor can absorb a maximum of 800 damage.

At T16 maps round about 20-30k armor are needed to have a good protection. You still have to evade physical boss slams, or gamble about your block chance.

I'm curious how it will end up having all the needed items etc. in the end, cause OP is promising 81% phys reduction

It looks like I have 81% phys reduction, 20k armour.
https://pastebin.com/iKvAp7Mx
EDIT: it was will vaal molten shell, without it it's 71% reduction
And about paradoxica - I've run with prismatic eclipse and tabula high yellow maps, so yes, you don't need paradoxica to clear reds, just it's the best choice as an upgrade from mid-tier weapon. I don't like mid tier upgrades(I got my body armour as a replacement for tabula lol), so I straight up bought paradoxica and surrender at the same time.
And you don't need impale on paradoxica - we have 100% impale chance from tree and banner, it doesn't scale past 100%.

For anyone whos curiuos, here is my first A8 fight of the league with the EQ version.
Already lvl 96 (took my time, did a lot of other stuff before finishing my atlas). Deathless and facetanking the die-beam twice.

Gear:

For bossing i switch less duration and fortify to melee phys and chance to bleed.

PoB is in the YQ description.
