What if we Socket Life Tap on it? With Doryanis Invitation we would also have some nice life leech and we could uptime Corrupted Fever.

" Just the base armour and added flat physical. those %increased defences from shield only affect your armour stat. I use Veteran Soldier instead of Vanquisher, the crush mechanic seemed weak. Maybe i'll put the points into the Vanquisher cluster for the DoT multi, and grab an extra jewel socket. |

A thought for shield builds: Shield Crush should work with Soultaker, so you can handle the mana costs *and* you can use Hypothermia for its intended purpose (since it's obviously not meant for cold dot)

" Hmm Hypothermia would be a good to consider with that weapon but if I understand it correctly the amount you can slow or freeze a target is dependent on how much damage you hit the target for so Hypothermia might not be a good choice in conjunction with Deadly Ailments since it reduces your hit damage by 80% that said we can just use Deadly Ailments on Spectral shield throw and use Shield Crush with Hypothermia. After looking into this further I think a Medium cluster jewel with Blast Freeze and Astonishing Affliction would fit in nicely. Astonishing Affliction gives: 20% increased Effect of Non-Damaging Ailments 20% increased Damage with Hits and Ailments against Enemies affected by Ailments 20% increased Duration of Elemental Ailments on Enemies Blast Freeze gives: 20% increased Cold Damage Freezes you inflict spread to other Enemies within a Radius of 12 The cold damage of blast freeze won't do much for us but with every cast of Spectral shield Throw we will have at least a 20% chance to freeze a minion which will trigger the spread to other minions. Unsure how we are even going to tackle 50 mana cost on a 6L, anyone have any ideas

For the mana issue. We can pick up Spirit void on the passive tree and then add Mystic Bulwark via anointing. We might have to drop the Aura as 50% mana reservation is going to harsh when combined with the other skills that reserve mana.
