[3.10] Gryph's Volatile Dead Necromancer || Fun, Medium Budget, Tanky, Millions of DPS

Hey Gryph! Thank you for making an amazing build, I'm loving it and decide to min-max my char now. Can you answer me some questions?

In boss fight (assume boss doesn't spawn any mob):
1. Will the enchant +1 copse consume VD screw up our offerings and VD rotation?
2. What are your personal favorite weapon setting? Crafted staff or Martyr with Awakened CWC?
3. What should I upgrade next? This is my current gears:

And my WE is ES on hit and Anger Crit Multi.

And I would like to share with you guys: the new Thread Of Hope Jewel (drop from Sirus), which has a 'large' roll, socketed in Templar region allow us to allocate Spiritual Aid, Counter Weight, Whirlwind Barrier, Amplify, Sovereignty and Discipline and Training cluster WITHOUT having to connect to them, can save us a tons of point to put elsewhere.

+1 VD enchant takes total corpse consumption from 8 to 9. We make 10 per CWDT proc. Doesn't affect it at all aside from some extra attack speed from corpse pact.

I love how strong Martyr is for its price point. That said, a crafted one will outperform it inevitably. It does take quite a good staff to get there though and be worth the expense.

As for the next thing to upgrade. You can either for for a Spell Crit+Offering Chest or a crafted staff.

Some easy things you can do:

Crusader Exalt your rings :D
You can hit Spell damage, %Increased Energy Shield, or Life gained on hit from your spells. The other mods are lightning damage against shocked enemies and lighting damage per power charge. Not great, but not useless either since we shock enemies and use power charges anyways.

As for thread of hope, I didn't think you could hit Counterweight with it. I'll have to look at it again.

Yup just picked one up and am now using it. Extra points let me go over to the shadow jewel socket and life nodes for some extra eHP. Slotted my brutal restraint there and it conveniently gave me the cold res I needed. hehe. Somehow I need to get 1 more dexterity point and make up the cold to drop the jewel. which is obnoxious. Ring shopping for me!
Hi I would like to know about some defensive routes to go towards. Im in yellow maps at level 81 now and I feel like stuff really hurts. I can not buy watcher's eye with double mod because I can only afford with 1 mod (es on hit). Should I still get one and ignore the other mod?
What else is there to focus on except for more levels and more life/es? chaos resistance I guess, but getting rings with dex es life res and damage mods seems also very expensive.. a bit lost where to go atm.
cheers

Two mod eyes can be gotten for 13-15ex if you're patient. But even just the 1 mod is such a strong boost to defense.

I wouldn't worry as much about damage mods on rings. Get your resists--particularly chaos--taken care of first.

How much chaos res should we aim for, at the very least?

Goal is 50% as we get 25% vs DOTS from soul of arakaali.

I have 33%

Atziri's Promise also helps, but it's a flask so situational. Gives +35%

Get as much as you can fit.
Just hit lvl 98 with almost no problems. Never did this before! Pretty tanky.
