PoE really needs chat on consoles

I'm a new player and I'm really enjoying the game.

Coming from playing MMOs n the past on PC and FFXIV on the Ps4, my main issue with the game is the lack of chat channels. The game feels like a solo game. It's quiet. There's no interaction at all. I used to hang around in towns in FFXIV and strike up some fun chat with other players and join them in co-op play. Made a lot of friends there that way. Here, I might as well be playing a single player game.

The potential is all there, why isn't it included? I know typing on a console is hard, but in FFXIV all I did was connect a cheap USB keyboard. Hope to see chat implemented soon!
