[3.25] Scourge Arrow Poison Prolif Pathfinder - Fast, tanky, fun to play

I'm absolutely loving the build so far. I've been wanting to play Scourge Arrow for a long time but I keep getting distracted by other builds when it comes time to start new leagues. I'm glad I finally gave it a shot this time. I'm not generally very good at farming currency and my builds frequently hit a wall where I have slightly lower damage or survivability than I'd like while the next upgrade is massively more expensive than what I'm earning, but this league I've felt like I have a steady path forward for consistent upgrades and I'm already comfortably farming t16s with plenty of upgrade goals left to aim for.

I've been putting together a list of goals and pricing things and all of it except for maybe Rain of Splinters seems really reasonable, and even that isn't ridiculous. I'll probably forgo getting curse immunity on Balance of Terror, and Stranglegasp is pretty expensive, but I got a solid Eternal Struggle I'll probably keep using instead while grabbing a bit more flask duration on the tree. (I am realizing now just how much I ripped off the guy I bought my Eternal Struggle from though, I can't even find one for sale with ailment duration+dot multi that's Exarch dominant now, and even with low attribute rolls I only paid 5c for mine really early on)

Thanks for putting in the work to keep this guide up to date! The build's a blast so far this league.

Hey, thinking about swapping over to this build from Vaal Caustic Arrow, since I want to do more bosses, but wanted to keep a bow pathfinder build. Was wondering what you thought of the new flask

which basically just reads "take 25% less damage from all non-dot sources"?

Its not exactly 25% less damage but yea, its very good. If you slot it in on my endgame pob its 81% more max hit for example. BUt issue is that there is no flask space for it. But for bosses you can swap quicksilver for progenesis if you want and that will work just fine. Or if you are against single element boss (like eater etc) just swap one of the other elemental flasks for progenesis.

Glad you are enjoying the build. And yea lol that is some giga ripoff for that Eternal Struggle, gz :d

Rain of Splinters is definitely worth aiming for its a lot of damage btw but yea its quite pricy atm. Also you dont need the extra flask duration from stranglegasp annoint to sustain the tri ele flasks even with alchemist, I just grabbed it for better QS sustain + more flask effect as other annoints were only like 7% of damage so I decided to go for more defense instead with last annoint.

And yea the curse immunity is not that important, just the wither on hit is. Curse Immunity on top would be just min max.

According to PoB I need a bit more duration to get 100% uptime on my resist flasks since I only have flask duration on my belt. With the right belt with a second flask uptime mod I probably wouldn't need it but those are also pretty expensive. Eventually I'll shell out for a better belt and free up the passive points (grabbing the 2 duration and recovery nodes near Field Medicine) but for now I'll need them to run Alchemist flasks.

Cant you alternatively just not use the reduced charges gained craft for now? And use something else. I think thats better than spending those points on tree

True, I'm probably tunnel visioning on increased flask effect a bit too much. Probably better to put increased damage on the belt til I can get one I can run increased effect on without trading 100% uptime.

One other thing I noticed while tweaking my PoB for different items and stats (going down the PoB rabbit hole while I'm bored and can't play the game instead), wouldn't phys-as-extra-chaos be the better Eater implicit on the boots since faster poison doesn't affect sustained dps?

phys as extra is alrigth but with temp chains + focus we have a lot of duration so the faster poisons are gonna be noticeable while phys as extra chaos is minimal amount of total dps over that

Hi its my second league. The first one was Blight and i have several questions about changes since blight leauge the build it have became stronger or weaker comparing to blight in
1) clearing
2) Single tarhet / boss
3) Survival
What about Act 2 shoud i save Alira for res or kill her for passives points?

Since blight the damage early feels a bit worse, the early survivability should be much better, the endgame damage is much much better and the endgame survivability is worse (I think in blight we still had dodge + spell dodge + wind dancer + divine flesh combo so current defenses are def worse than that).

And in a2 just kill all

Small build update:

- Switched back from Stranglegasp to Eternal Struggle as Strangegasp is like 7 divines now and Eternal Struggle is more easily obtainable even with mediocre mods. Plus with Ghost Dance the 15% increased global defense give reasonable amount of ES
- Switched evasion boots and evasion helmet to hybrid eva/es bases for more ES
- This gives build around 300 extra ES over previous setup
