Haven't done high level maps consistently yet but the build feels very strong

Couple of questions:

1) What does the ancestral warchief 4-link do in this build?

2) Why is Maim favored over other obvious choices like Brutality or Ruthless? Isn't Maim just 30% more damage plus a movement speed debuff (plus a little bit more damage vs maimed targets)? I feel like I'm missing something there

3) What would be the optimal unique armor if sticking with Perforate? Carcass jack probably?

I have a friend who is running an impale-cyclone build, and he recently replace his ancestral warchief with vaal double strike and it kills bosses even faster. This is just another option that I was curious if you had tried or not.

Question 2: What other uniques are you considering for this build?

Primarily thinking about body armour.
The ones I've been considering are:
Carcass Jack for the added AOE and area damage.
Loreweave is a good option for a lot of builds for a survivability item.
Daresso's Defiance might also be a decent option for endurance charge generation.
Belly of the Beast since it's a good all around chest for any melee build.
