" You probably should level a bit more to make it safer ;) " You're probably using the wrong aura setup, re-read the gem setup section carefully ;) " Use your strom call setup to kill the null portals ! ;) My builds :

I got my uber lab carry last night and a couple more levels. It does feel more smooth already, I've done up to T13 on MF gear (I didn't bother getting 'real' gear yet). It depends a lot on the map layout though and I still hate the start. I wish souls allocated evenly instead of randomly D:
Can I just ask is the point of all the crit to ensure a frozen status for explosions? I notice sometimes various magic packs don't 'pop' and it is not only dangerous it's aesthetically unpleasing :D P.S. Did anyone experiment with Vaal Breach or Worms to refill souls for screw ups or bosses? |

" The point of all the crit is exactly to ensure that they're frozen so it's less dangerous. Also if you kill enemies affected by ailments you get more flasks charges. You could try with Worms, it does fill up your flasks ;) Never tried Vaal Breach My builds : CoC Volatile Dead Assassin - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2742649 Vaal Spark Pathfinder - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2302486/page/1 Editado por útlima vez por iRa38#2195 en 30 abr. 2019 6:22:07

I copied your Non mf gear gem setup and like the person that posted a few days ago above me, I cannot use grace + herald of ice + herald of thunder, with 2 level 4 englightens. Hope you can help me figure this out.
Edit: nevermind i figured it out, shouldn't have posted so quickly. Great build i have been enjoying it a lot. Editado por útlima vez por Zoutzak#1475 en 1 may. 2019 14:14:06

At what level is it safe to switch to this setup from a leveling bow build?
|
|
It is very squishy if you are going MF so I would recommend at least all labs except Uber, capped res, and I think I entered T1 maps early to mid 70s (whenever Blood Acqueduct farming falls off - I was getting fast XP and Humility with Rain of Arrows and rampage).
Alleyways is a great layout for this setup so when I entered maps I swapped to the Spark gear and tried it out to pick up some levels. I soloed Merc lab but needed to be over-levelled for Izaro, and definitely needed a carry for Uber lab. Editado por útlima vez por SuperBurgers#6590 en 9 may. 2019 4:18:16

I am now playing with bow character like you said in leveling section. when I switch to spark?
|
|
I leveled with toxic rain and herald of agony (quill rain used the whole way) while following the skills for this build (just skipped the spell stuff till later and focused more on hp and other damage skill points like jewel slots). I've switched over to the spark setup at 70 since my crafted staff requires level 70 aha. With full MF gear i'm definitely gonnna struggle keeping resistances capped once I kill kitava so just leaving that for now and I guess i'll drop one piece of MF gear for a rare with big resists (maybe bisco's leash since I have a lot of cold resist already). Looking forward to playing around with it more, definitely satisfying in blood aqueducts so far.

So how exactly does the interaction with freezing and shattering things work in this build? Sorry if it's a basic question but I'm just figuring out why some casts of vaal spark cause 100% of mobs to freeze/shatter and other sparks will freeze none and even further some will freeze/shatter some but not all. Is it all just crit dependent?
Either way this build is doing amazing farming burial chambers. Most expensive thing was 6 linking my QOTF (2000 fusings or something later) lmao so budget wasn't bad at all for me. |

" I don't really know the mechanics in depth but I'll take a guess. Some map mods add a flat chance to avoid ailments, so there's that. Crits with any amount of cold damage do Freeze at 100%, however the wiki says Freeze duration is based on cold damage dealt as a percent of HP. Durations below 0.3 seconds are discarded. So I suppose this means even if you crit, you still need enough cold damage (5% of enemy life per spark hit, whatever that is) in your build. Based on the inconsistency I've seen I'd guess it was mostly the map mods making those ugly runs that felt wrong, but I didn't really stop to check at the time and I'm playing a new character now in flashback. |
