This might be deviating too far from your original intentions, but if you're using Triad Grip to convert all physical damage to an element, wouldn't lightning damage be better than cold? This would allow us to use slave drivers (100% lightning damage iirc) as spectres and Wrath instead of Hatred as an aura. 4 blue slots would presumably also be easier to use than 4 green. We would also be able to use Vortex to proc EE by itself... and perhaps link it with a curse on hit set-up. For example, if we take Whispers of Doom in the tree, we can use the 4 blue set-up of Vortex, Curse on hit support, Conductivity, and Elemental Weakness. With level 20 gems and combined with EE, this should ideally make enemies -133% resistant to lightning.
I am really liking the Slave Drivers and have been looking for some way to proc EE, so thanks for that lil bit of info.
Why Wrath instead of Zealotry ?

Skeletons would still be our primary source of damage (especially single target) and Zealotry wouldn't boost them. I haven't ran this all through PoB yet but if it's significantly more damage for spectres, it might be better.
edit: since vortex is low range and we don't need many active skills, something like frost bolt would likely be better for proccing the curse.

Unending Hunger gives a buff to specters, you shouldn't be seeing anything on your buff list.
Instead, what you should see is that now when they kill enemies an orange beam comes out of it and goes into any of your specters. Since it can stack indefinitely, the more your specters kill the more you should notice the difference. Look how fast they cast their spells after killing a few hundred enemies.

Your character doesn't seem to have Unending Hunger socketed in it's tree.
