[3.4] The DarkRunner - 1HP "pacifist" build with damage immune option

Is this build any good at level 70, with some rare evasion gloves with evasion? Can it tank 1k darkness stacks?

Yeah, 1k darkness is pretty easy to tank. With some life regen (I'd say at least 300 hp/sec, which is two Kikazaru, the belt and a little bit somewhere else) and MoM you should have no problems.

I realised this calculation was wrong, at 5k stacks, we take

5000x0.5% of HP = 2500% of HP

2500% x 1 HP = 25

Much lower than the 2500 previously calculated. Not sure if this means we can drop a lot of our expensive regen gear, haven't got a character to test it yet ):

That does make sense in theory, but it's totally not reflected in practice. As said above, with the same setup without MoM I wasn't even able to sustain 3k stacks.
I can try some additional test when I get back home this evening.

I've done some additional test and I'm a bit confused. I'm 100% sure that I was not able to survive the darkness as I described above, when I did my first experiments few days ago.
Today I tried with different values of life regen, in descending order, (always without Mind over Matter) and these are the results:

- Able to survive 5000 stacks with 144.4 hp/sec
[img]https://preview.ibb.co/cHMFZz/500_stacks_144_4.png[/img]

- Able to survive 5000 stacks with 64.4 hp/sec
[img]https://preview.ibb.co/h9xdnK/5000_stacks_64_4.png[/img]

- Able to survive 5000 stacks with 25.6 hp/sec
[img]https://preview.ibb.co/cEgSge/5000_stacks_25_6.png[/img]

Which means that right now things are working as they should and having just 1hp means that at 5000 stacks we are just losing 25 hp/sec. This changes a lot of things, since you pretty much need just a tiny amount of life regen and that's it (even a single Kikazaru is overkill and should allow you to survive more than 10k stacks, if they increase the limit).
I don't know whether they changed something in the last few days, or I was drunk then I developed the build, but this is pretty crazy..

Can darkness resist go below -100? If not, then you need like 200 regen to skip all darkness resist upgrades?

Yep, darkness resist has no lower cap as far as we know. At least, it can go far lower than -100% from my tests.

My biggest gripe with this build guide isn't the cool thing you've done for darkness farming, it's that you haven't really provided any quality information for leveling. While it's possible to figure out with good experience, I think that the information for your recommendations should be there with specifics. I hope this isn't asking too much, but it would be really helpful for newer players, at least point out another build to follow until level 87. Just throwing up a PoB link for a level 86 with skill gem links and helpful uniques would be enough, if you want to homebrew it. Homebrewing would definitely be the most helpful, as avoiding as many regrets as possible would be nice.
I know I'm asking a bit here, but I'm just hoping it isn't unreasonable.

GG 1C MF build lol !
Awesome build planning on starting it at the weekend, so with the HP regen so low now I'm assuming we don't need the Watcher's Eye jewel?

I am with you, here are a few things i use to level

1- tabula
2- quill rain + quiver (drill neck preferred but a cheaper version also can).
3- EzoMyTe -> Deidbell
4- Karui Ward
5- lochtonial caress
6- Theif's torment (Or Elreon Rings)
7- Meignord's Gridle
8- WanderLust

I leveled with Herald of Agony And Toxic Rain.
Take
1- Master Flecher
2- Toxic Strikes
3- Constitution (for some life)
I used around 5-10 regrets + quest points to remove these nodes once i reached level 74. Although i should have cleared all quest and get a few more points but i want to wait and see till 3.4.3 patch.

I level at "the blood aqueduct", till i hit 74. Did normal/cruel izaro myself. I can pay someone to do merciless and uber lab.

Good luck on leveling (it is really painful experience), unless you have two poets' pen lying around and that will make your life breeze to level.

I think watcher's eye is only luxury, i am running without watcher's eye and no issue so far. Unless it start hurting me when i reach way deep.

Fair enough. Added a small section talking briefly about the levelling process in the "Passive tree progression" section.

Yup, precisely. You just need at least 25 hp/sec somewhere and you are done (with capped darkness res). If you are not interested in capping the darkness res, then you can invest more into regen.
