[3.6] Tahreyn's 83/83 Block Herald of Agony Gladiator - Über Elder Viable

Why are you using Herald of Purity? As far as i know all modifiers are local to the sentinels and are not effecting your agony crawler.

Or does the added phys damage works with the crawler and is worth it?

Or do you use them only to stack withering on bosses?

The modifiers are local so the crawler doesn't benefit from them.

I use them for the extra damage they provide, while it isn't close to what the crawler it still adds up. The extra withering stacks seems to be working quite nicely too, but as with all the new minion skills it's only possible to do a subjective feel for the actual damage.

Hey there, Im wondering if using a 6l Loreweave would be ok here. I would sacrifice the damage from herald of purity but gain the resistances from loreweave, making the build even more tanky... Also looking forward to a clear vid :)

Sure you can use a loreweave. You'll be skipping herald of purity and its damage, but the increased defences may be worth it. Instead of the purity you might look into running a 3+ link with the Summon Holy Relic. I've just started to try it out a bit and even without the upgraded geofri's helmet it seems pretty good.

Edit:
You'll also lost quite a bit of dmg from Herald of Agony as you'll loose the +2 to socketed herald gems. Also the lvl 21 Herald of Agony will become more important as you really do want that 4% iAS per virulence stack it gets on lvl 21 (40 extra iAS in the end).

I have to ask -- how tough was it getting those colors on Calamity.

Currently lvl 16 -- fun road ahead
For those who have fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.

I was actually aiming for 4 off-colours when I was trying to colour my Calamity, so I was quite lucky getting the 5th by accident. However, getting 4 off-colours isn't especially hard. According to the Vorici Calculator that should be about 250-350 chromatics on average, 250 if you go with 1g1r and 350 if you go with 1g on the bench.

If you don't have the 6L already then you can always go with the "bench trick". Put 2 sockets on the item, choose 2g or 1g1r on the bench, use the bench and take 3 sockets. Is the 3rd socket an off colour? if not then go back to 2 sockets and try with 3 sockets again. This is usually an easier and comparably cheap way to get off colours on items that has high attribute requirements, but in this case I'd probably only go for it if you must have 5 off colours.

Updated the video section with a T14 Acid Lakes clear so you can get a picture of how some regular mapping looks like.

Currently at lvl 34 -- I am beginning to understand & appreciate this build more and more as my char advances.

Couple things:

Post bin -- I have yet to be able to utilize this site - due totally to my lack of knowledge with comp's. I am older than the typical player by a factor of 2 so this struggle will continue until I get one some help -- had similar problems with the item drop thingie someone created - one of my grandsons helped out there and now I see the drops in multi colors and what a great help.

I read your original post --> simply put, well done and thank you. I have been placing my skill points by clicking on your character and copying the build your playing - BUT it seems your build is for a higher end gear and the build in you post is more of a low/medium cost lvl. I think I will need to respec a bit and once I hit 55 or so I will then switch and mimic the build you are playing.

This is my 2nd char this season and via the first I have acquired a few quality items I sold to be able to dress out this guy quite well. Still not real comfortable about getting the sockets to those colors though. I feel like one of those Hoarder's you see on TV with all the Cromatics I'm collecting, 349 so far.

Either way - thank you for the work you put in to come up with this build.

Hello. I'm glad that you have enjoyed the build and the guide. You are indeed correct in that the Skill Tree that I have on my character is not the recommended tree for the low/medium cost setups.

If you take a look at section 2.2. then you have a couple of of links there to the official skill planner for a few skill trees. Take a look at the first one and then when you have allocated your skill points accordingly then you can start to follow the next one. These leveling trees will tell you how to progress from an early level until a finished low/medium budget tree.

The pastebin links/codes that you'll find in the guide are for a program called Path of Building (PoB for short), a powerful tool where you can create builds, create or import gear for the build, see the defences you'll have with that gear, and in most cases also see how much damage you are likely to get (unfortunately not for Herald of Agony at the time being).

You can download Path of Building by clicking on the link below:
https://github.com/Openarl/PathOfBuilding/releases/download/v1.4.99/PathOfBuilding-Setup-1.4.99.exe

When it is downloaded just run the installer (the downloaded file) and let it install. After you have installed the program you should be able to run it either by using the desktop shortcut, or via the start menu. The first time you start the program it'll take a short while for it to load, as it is downloading the current assets (skill tree, skills, etc).

When the program has started click on "New" to open up a new build. At the top left you will find Import/Export Build, click on it. Now you will need a one of the pastebin links I have in the guide. To make it easy here is the code for the low budget setup: PoB - Low Budget: https://pastebin.com/07pi8che

Copy the entire "https://...." or "pastebin.com/..." (either will work) and find and click on the button "Import from Pastebin...". A small popup will show where you will paste the pastebin link. After this you should be able to see a green text left to the "Import from Pastebin..." button saying "Code is valid". Now you can click on the button at the bottom that is called "Import"

The build will now load and you will be able to find its skill tree (at "Tree"), see what Skill Gems and supports that are used (at "Skills") and take a look on the items used (at "Items").

You can do a lot of things with Path of Building, but I hope that this explanation will be enough to get you started and able to take a look at my build, and other existing builds that you'll find all over the PoE community.

If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask and I'll do my best to answer them.

While I'm leveling my char, I talked to a friend (who now also is a agony gladiator :D) and we're talking about gear options and what would work well.

Our char doesn't need any damage at all, we only so the poison stacks and survive.

Have you heard about the belt Gluttony?.

Let me tell you, the "Take (100-200) Physical Damage when you use a Movement Skill" mod does work well with gladiator, it'll proc the Painforged 8% block chacne.

Please keep in mind, with Gluttony using cyclone isn't a good idea, we thought about Molten Strike / Shield Charge or Phase Run with flask for movement. Further enhancement with Poachers Mark on hit (also on hex proof) which means we can leave out gemini claws if we want.

As I'm in SSF I for my self don't have the belt yet, but another option would be biscos leash for Rampage.
