Righteous Fire and support gems are making my brain hurt. Help Please!
" Considering that Contagion, Essence Drain, Scorching Ray, and Vortex - i.e. every other DoT spell in the game, as I recall at the moment - all allow spell damage modifiers to work on their DoT effects because they're spells and they're dealing damage, I'm hoping I can find forgiveness for not being immediately aware that Damage over Time was its own bucket. Especially when it doesn't act like its own bucket in any other case and otherwise scales normally with things such as elemental/physical scalars or anything else you'd expect to apply to it depending on its delivery source. yeah okay, all these things make a specific note of that behavior, but come on. EVERY damage-over-time spell in the game except Righteous Fire has that note. Is it really hard to wonder why RF doesn't, other than being old? She/Her

Ever wonder why they explicitly mention they apply Spell Damage modifiers to Damage over Time? :P
By the way: Searing Bond. Fire Trap. Flame Dash. :> |
