[3.2] Claw Reave/Blade Flurry Slayer league starter. Uber lab farmer, All contents.

So I'm currently using Scaeva and Death's Hand, what one handed sword can I upgrade to? Any suggestions?

If you are building sword then your best upgrade is high pdps foils with decent attack speed. Something like a 270 to 300 pdps foil with 1.8 attack speed at least. Also this build is claw based for the most part so using wasp nest is recommended. However sword based is entirely possible and I will update a skill tree for it probbaly.

For offhand statstick item the shaper axe can roll extra phys as ele dmg and is good alternative to death hand.

Any news on going a gladiator variation or is slayer with vaal pact strictly better?

None of the two are strictly better.

Here's my review of both options.

Gladiator:

- Strong defense, especially against abyss cracks because of high block.

- Nice map clearing with bleed explosion but questionable interaction with hatred shatter because of crit.

- Lower single target due to not having 20% cull

- Less aoe for Reave and BF

- Don't need Vaal Pact

Slayer:

- Mediocre defense which means the use of basalt and granite is important for abyss cracks.

- Best aoe for Reave and BF, for the feels good playstyle.

- Better at boss killing, Uber lab and such with cull.

- No bleed flask needed, can switch to curse flask instead makes life easier in cursed maps.

- Couple with Vaal Pact almost cancel out the no regen.

That's what I've experienced so far. I will probably be updating the guide soon because I have some gear updates and some skill tree changes regarding the abyss jewel.

Sword variance is also possible, using high pdps foils. Harder to gear but damage potential is higher due to implicit crit multi on foils.
