Build Idea:

Spoiler
My goal was to make a strong Lightning Strike character. I want my characters to destroy all the endgame content but i had issues regarding single target. Since 3.0 introduced a new item called "The Tempest's Binding" we can use Lighting Strike to clear huge packs while not lacking single target due to a 6L Molten Strike setup.
I think claws are a decent choice for my build. They provide a lot of crit, ApS and some on hit effects. On top of that they solve the leech problem, so we don't have to travel to the duelist.
To increase our damage furthermore i picked Hrimsorrow gloves for an entire elemental conversion.

Skilltree:

Path of Building:

Bandits:

Spoiler
Kill all. If u struggle a lot with resistances u can also help Alira.

Jewels:

Spoiler

Try to get some life, attack speed and multi. Since both attacks are elemental skills we can utilize "Critical Strike Multiplier with Elemental Skills" and get some cheap jewels.

Flasks:

Spoiler

Flasks are super important on this character. They increase the damage by a lot. It's some what of a single target setup. Also i balanced my Wise Oak for cold and fire resistances so i get some additional penetration.

Pantheon:

Spoiler
Most of the time I run Brine King and Yugul. They also allow me to not use a heat flask while mapping, since most of the time either my Taste of Hate or my Pantheon let me avoid the chill on Strongboxes.

Leveling:

Spoiler
Scion is kinda weird to level. I started this character as spectral throw, u can basically use any attack especially projectile skill. Low level uniques claws help a lot for a smooth level experience. In terms of ascendancies i went for ranger, ranger start, inquistor.

Additional thoughts on the gearing process:

Spoiler
I struggled a lot to get my crit and hit chance as high as possible. This is why i'd definitely recommend the new Yriel's Chest wich provides a lot of both accuracy and crit chance.
On top we get a pet that intimidates monsters, saying it provides a 10% more multiplier. If u cannot afford the attack and movementspeed Yriel's pick the added phys flat version. The pet will taunt monsters with Rallying Cry.
The Elemental Weakness corruption on my gloves is amazing. They help a lot, especially on ele resist maps.
I also don't think that Point Blank is that good for both skill. I ended up using PB as a gem in Molten Strike,
this way i can add Chain to my Lightning Strike while not crippling its damage.

Nice Build. Playing a slightly changed version on a Zerker, but I flat out stole his idea and its a lot of fun. Ty <3
Wow, one of the best build i've ever seen, bro.
Pretty nice build. I love your streams and your knowledge in this game. This build is facerolling everything. Killed Uber Atziri for the first time today! Thank you!
Such a nice and smooth build. Managed to kill Shaper with Level 84 and even uber Atziri went pretty well. (would have killed her, if i wasnt such a bad player LuL)
Wow, build looks very nice and original AND its a hipster scion SeemsGood. How does the build perform without the enchantment?
build looks very good, i have a question regarding your jewelry or just jewelry in general though:

what would your recommended stat priority be on your opal rings (in terms of damage)?

regarding the wise oak, would you recommend going all out for balancing around your cold/fire res or is it just for pure min maxing?

thx in advance : )
The stat priority is ele damage with attacks > increased lightning damage > cold flat. Also keep an eye on accuracy.

Balancing Wise Oak is pure min maxing, it helps a lot against the tougher encounters like shaper but it's by no means neccessary. But since there is not that much penetration i'd recommend you to get at least the boot enchant.
Is Ascendant really the "best" ascendancy for this? The way its skilled only to grab a jewel slot and some crit multi doesnt really look that good
