[3.0] Wand’s Guide to Wanding – Comprehensive Overview of Wanders

I'm 87 and a pathfinder right now, with just a Piscator, an atziri flask, thunderfist and the rest rares (including my 5 link chest). I'm started to stockpile enough currency for upgrades but I'm still trying to decide if I should switch to raider.

Raider has more evasion, doesn't need blood rage to maintain frenzy charges and can keep charges on bosses and has attack speed.

Pathfinder gets all the extra flask power, 10% penetration and reduced elemental damage taken plus flasks regenerate on their own so you can get some flask refreshes on longer boss fights.

You claim in the summary that pathfinder has less life and damage. Where is more life coming from with raider? Pathfinder seems to have more damage until frenzy falls off on the bosses (at least based on my build and path of building + some gear changes. You also mention pathfinder needing a jewel slot for conquerors potency, but is that really a negative, since raider even with a jewel slot can't get an extra projectile from dying sun?

The free and more powerful frenzy charges is the big draw for me, but I'm not sure if it's worth giving up the flask power...

Raider has more life from the extra jewel. Also you save 3 points as Raider by not needing to take the flask nodes. Pathfinder would have more damage with frenzy charges up of course, but the only way to get frenzy charges in the first place on Pathfinder, is the add phases in Shaper / Uber Atziri. The single target of this build is only relavent when talking about Shaper / Guardians / Uber Atziri, the rest of the content in the game is trivial.

I dabbled a little with wanders in the past but this is the first league I've decided to go for a wander as my main character. This post is incredibly helpful to get an overview of the different options, the pros/cont of the choices you have to make. Well-written, extremely good formatting! Can't give you enough praise! Keep it up!
I still disagree with OP regarding Raider >>>> Pathfinder.

Even as raider, you can't get Onlsaught on Bosses. If you kill adds then yes but PF can achieve the same results with Ice Bite linked to KB and this will also give you frenzy charges .

Move Speed on PF is better and AS is maybe a bit better on Raider because of frenzy charges on bosses but that is all.
Im missing a few options when it comes to Boots, Skyforth are still great for easy Power Charge generation, and Inya's Epiphany provides great utility due to 25% Chance to get Full Power Charges, also 5% increased Damage per Power Charge, which makes DPS wise a great option, the most underrated but strongest Option for Bossfights however are Wake of Destruction with 1-160 Added Lightning Enchant, those are incredible!

Good point, I'd also add Voidwalkers as an option for non-Raider.
Great guide. thanks for sharing your knowledge about wanders.

I've decided to reroll to try Ascendant. I was pathfinding.

I got up to 35, played a few hours last night. The electric arrow was lack luster. But when I switched to KB, it was all good.

I was wondering if you could elaborate a bit more for the tree progression for Scion, and the ascendancy priorities.

thanks!
