[3.0] Wand’s Guide to Wanding – Comprehensive Overview of Wanders

Switched from raider to deadeye tonight. Considerably better DPS. Was really struggling on bosses.

With only econo gear and 4k defense it made sense. Still generating frenzy and power charges. Nice being able to keep bosses at a distance as well as harbinger encounters.

Switched out pierce for for slower proj.

NS

Will switch back later as needed.
Ok, how the hell u get so much damage? I specced my ele cyclone raider for KB/wander and my single target damage sucks, can't kill t10-t11 bosses. Trash clear speed is ok. Got most of stuff by playing my slayer and was kind of happy to try wander first time in my life. My skill tree is a lil bit messy and a bit different but even if I chance it look same as urs it still shows very much less damage. I don't have enough currency to buy 6-link belly of beast. Should I just buy some random 6 link? Or is it ok to go with 5-link if playing T10-T13 maps?

Here is my pastebin, pls help a bit :)

ok, actually fixed it myself. Gonna chance tree like urs and swap Slower projectiles for lightning pen in 5 link barrage. Also quality my gems. Gonna be over 600k dps barrage with dying sun on.

Amazing build I used to play tornado raider but switched to this and my damage aoe and single is so bad. I sent you a message and wanted to also post on the boards. If you get a chance could you have a look at my character (Tsukinee) https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Bhavtender/characters
I seem to have a bit of trouble killing bosses in maps. I get 1 shotted alot. Any tips as to what I can do to improve without spending a crazy amount of currency?

Im a noob with wander but ok with Poe :) First thing, quality ur gems, ur like half damage (littel lie here) without quality on ur skill gems.

For survivalibity, u have tempest binding so u don't need thunderfists. Get Life, res, aps, added ele damage gloves. Also u can chance ur armour to belly of beast it should get ur life much higher.

edit: also ur just lvl 80. Just play maps u can at this level. Don't try to do T15 with lvl 80 char. When ur near 90 then u should feel much better.

Isn't it possible for a pathfinder vaal pact ranger to do ele reflect maps with just the -10% reflect passive and the pantheon -25%?

Or is it still deadly and have to go scion for doing reflect maps?
guys his opal rings alone give him like 100k dps you dont have that so dont expect big boss dps + hes using good rare wand which you also dont have.

edit: also your vinktars is not added lightning damage so thats also a huge dps loss.

Question about the Ascendant (Scion) route.

It's not until Merciless lab that you can allocate towards ranger passives, what do you suggest until that point? Considering that there really isn't a whole lot taken towards the scion starting aside from health, it seems like mid-game is rather difficult up until reaching that point.

Im interested in this too. Anyone?
Hello,
Big fan of this comprehensive guide. It is straight forward. I wish there was some explanation surrounding slower projectiles support on a 6L. I haven't really understood it. Basically, my confusion stems from the fact that if you are using a dying sun, you don't need the GMP support gem. But slow projectiles in place makes no sense as a replacement to me. Wouldnt faster projectiles add more dmg? or wouldn't physical projectile support gem add more dmg? I can see slower support being good if this build was utilizing poison... I need some clarification on this and I believe it would help others!

My next comment stems from the squishiness of this build. I have not gotten all the piece yet... primarily I am missing the shield and boots of it. I have noticed it is physical damage. I have also noticed some other builds popping up that utilize belly of the beast for added life and a focus on armour for physical damage reduction. My biggest quarrel is that it appears costly and ineffective compared to a lightning coil. I am going to make a bold statement and say that using a lightning coil with this build and focusing on armour may allow for a more tank-y build. It won't be nearly as fast as a queen of the forest though.

using a static electricity Viridian jewel on the socket by Vaal pact adds 1-62 lightning damage. It is a good gem for leveling and initial starting of this build.

Where do you get your leech from, i have the instant life leech node but i seem too leech very little opposed to my elemental spectral throw build which uses 70% of the same tree where i go from 0 to full 1 2 sec :/

Ps Love the build, will make it my main char if i get the leech sorted.
