[3.x - Discontinued for now] Burning Spectres - Torch the Atlas - HC Shaper, Elder, Uber Atziri

Am I right in assuming that this build is not very heavy on spamming flasks? Last some builds I played were all constantly about keeping up 4 if not 5 flasks constantly, it wore me out.

Also, maybe not very relevant for this build, but has anyone ever tried those new act 5/10 bone husk skeletal skorpion things that have some kind of sunder-ish attack as spectres? They can hit really hard as rare mobs, was curious how they'd do as spectres

Depends on your definition of flask spamming, Pathfinder builds relies on constant flask spamming more than most others, so if that's your metric of flask spammer builds; I'd say this build, as does other Summoners or builds that has no leech based sustain are in the norm when it comes to flask usage, you get hit or about to, you use flasks, that's it, at least most of the time.

I bet someone in the Spectre Compendium thread has already done some thorough research on that mob.

Edit: Disabling multithreading seems to work so far, at least I haven't experienced any crashes after 4 maps or so. Might want to put something on the OP since I've never had any issues prior to playing this build even with multithreading on.

You are right, will do
Here goes my first attempt at Guardians in HHC, lvl 86 with 5-link Vis Mortis.

Forgot to press my Ruby flask and didn't logout once I reached 10% hp, lol.

Decided to reroll the same build again because it's actually very good in terms of item costs/survivability/dps, and I had a great time playing with it.

What do you guys feel about running Genrosity+Anger for DPS? Have a few open links and wanted to improve clear speed a bit to bring it up to snuff with Solar Guard+Necromatic Aegis+Victario's Charity builds.

Yup, same here.

Still leveling the build, and though I don't play HC I'd strongly recommend this build to any budding Summoners out there.

I've played so many Summoner characters I've lost count and this one is hands down the most balanced if not straight up the strongest one I've played so far. Natt was being too humble if I may say on 'promoting' this build. I think the biggest selling point, at least for me are four things..

- The norm with Spectre based summoners is that the main is usually a punching bag without her minions due to lack of sustain and buffer, huge ehp + close to max block + MoM + an actually good movement skill isn't something we see on a summoner everyday..
- Arguably one of the highest scaling on single target I've seen on a summoner build that's not a min-maxed SRS build.
- For some odd reason, Wickers and Vanguards are so easy to get. I stopped playing summoners since Legacy because the hassle of redoing spectres finally got to me after so long.
- This is minor but, Wickers and Vanguards does not kill your FPS. Sentinels, Solar Guards, Fire-eaters are flashy and fun to watch for a while, but it gets really old and an annoying eye stabber later on.

I've said this before, but I'll say it again, Thanks for posting this build.

Great build, although I'm playing something different (Scion)... this thread is still my best source for spectre information!!!!

Question: Does the burning damage count as an affliction to receive the singularity damage boost? My guess is no, its just burning damage... but I wanted to ask.
Trying this build, got some half decent gear and gave (normal) atziri a try, got a bunch of 20% lvl 17-19 gems and whatnot but doesn't seem to be enough to survive, one summon died on they (eventually) died on the boss fight itself.

Granted I was a little overconfident with my level and stuff but I should've been able to clear it I think?
Anyway, my character is on public https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Cicida/characters
It's "WRCKTNGL"

Perhaps there's something I'm doing wrong. I had no dyadus but I don't think I really needed it.

Don't be fooled by the power of the spectres to do shit like this in HC. You need gem levels and more life, especially considering that you can get lower max res in Phoenix fight.
