I just did my first Uber Lab (ever) tonight! I know it's old hat for all you vets but it sure was exciting to survive it the first time! I went with 4 TV and a slow, careful pace. I survived a couple close calls with the boss but otherwise I just ran around in circles and suddenly he was dead! Wow those totems are awesome!

My plan is to stick with 4 TV and eventually pick up the Golem gems and helm to go with them, instead of switching back to SG for their clear speed. Melting bosses with totems is just too much fun. Is anyone else running 3 Flame Golems and 4 TV?

Yeah, i'm running 3 flame golems and 3TV+1WM. It works really great for me. Flame golems not as good as solar guards, but quite close, and bosses melting without problems too.

But beware that for golems you need about 2ex investment in primordial jewels.
I bought them when exalted was still about 40c, now it's 90c. Damn, that's expensive.

I think the 2x6L (or 5L+6L) SG + TV solution is cheaper.

This helmet cost me 5c (well, coloring cost more, but OK). You can find much better ones at 30c or so.
i've tried now the 2tv + 2sg version. the regular one from the guide and the 4tv + 3 flame golems. I must say that i liked the the version with the flame golems the most, especially on higher maps. It just felt smoother.

My opinion tho

I really dislike messing up SG and TV together though. Whatever anyone will say, it's ineficient as hell, cause, for example, i would never use entire 6 link for spectres if i only can have 2 of those.

SG isn't that bad for bosses too, and rather than making this 2x2 abomination, i would rather go full SG with cast speed jewels, haste etc and be better both in mapping and bossing too.

You know, the only thing that make TV damage that big is AG, without it - it would be less than actual SG's with slower proj, so...

Yeah, of course i know that, but you messed up the price. Primordial might is 0.8 exalted right now, and exalted is 90c.
Atleast 70c for primordial might then, not 40-50

are you kidding? this build can easily farm orbs, whats the problem, doc?

That isn't about the problem of easily farmed or not, it's about necessity of farming.

Right now, i already own it, and quite satisfied, but for someone who just started a build it's a really bad spot, cause TV's is awful at farming actually, and they won't get better unless you have golems, but hey, they need a lot of money...

It makes up by switching to SG, but if you switching to them, there are quite some chance that you are not going to return, cause it's not quite "worth it".

So yeah, golems are smooth, i like it. But only because i really wanted exactly burning spectres and was desperate to make them work. If not - SG might be better choice, cause it's far FAR cheaper
does the tukohamas shield not working in 3.1? my spectre only get 1 totem not 2 :( could you link a tukohama shield guide would be nice

This was specifically nerfed in a recent patch, so no, you can't use the tukohama shield with this build any more.

I do STARTED this league thith this build only. so i bued a tabula with some orbs, then 5L6S vix, after that byed a 7L helmet, and today take a 6L vix + golem jewels and still have some ex.

and all of this - with my small online, were i still at yellow maps.

this build is really cheap and strong. it easy to farm. so, what the problem, doc?
-Помню, как толпа крестьян убить меня хотела,
После инквизиторы калечили мне тело!
Все восстало против молодого некроманта,
Сделав меня мучеником моего таланта.
I just managed to kill my first Shaper :D Ty for the amazing guide

I'll say it again, if you still don't get it. That isn't about the problem of easily farmed or not, it's about necessity of farming.

We have 2 choices - go into SG route, or go into golems+TV route.
SG route is cheap. Not even cheap - it's practically free, cause don't need anything at all, even 5l mortis isn't needed. Only need 5c helmet and you are ready to kick ass.
TV+golems route need 5l mortis (about 30c), much more socket starving, also need jewels for about 1.7 exa or so which is another 150c. And mapping would be even slower than with SG, but bosses more smoother.
But despite the fact that i'm "TV+golems route" fan, i can say without reservation, that SG route isn't exactly that behind, and gladly melt any guardians/shaper etc
And considering that it's practically free, and other is 2 exa more costly, so yeah... I'll name golems as overpriced.
I encourage everyone to try golems, but will warn them about the fact that golems are 20-40x more costly choice if compare to SG.
Im using skeleton mages in my vis mortis with dead reckining jewel + 4 x TV's in helm.

Clear speed is good and tv's take care of bosses
