I read somewhere pages back someone complaining that the Ursa pet dies too easily. Can you confirm? I was a bit surprised to see how expensive this armor is for a budget option.

It's a nice offensive option, but you can settle with something a lot cheaper. Corrupted 6L, Queen of the Forest (what I started with; life, possible movement speed, random resists), Hyrri's Ire (dodge, cold damage, but no health), The Perfect Form (-Cold, but free Arctic Armour), Lightning Coil (-Light, but physical conversion).

Yriel's just ends up being the best offensive option, offering a lot of accuracy, projectile crit, and life. The additional pet bonuses are cool, but they have caused the chest to go up in price. The physical one is what I have, but the attack and movement speed variant is far and away more expensive. (I'm considering buying one to 6L with Vorici.)

The pet is rather fragile starting out on its own. Don't expect it to do much or eat many boss hits. However, it benefits from all of the gems in the chest, without linking (like the Dancing Dervish 2h sword).

Here's the Ursa during a Phoenix run with the gems I used in the description. Back then, with low level and no quality gems, he was somewhat squishy, sometimes dying before my golem. However, now, he's relatively sturdy compared to my Ice Golem. For major boss fights, expect to recast him a couple times when you can, but it's not worth reviving him if it's a risk. During mapping, he shouldn't typically die simply because you should be smashing trash on most mods.

I've since updated the gems, but I took a couple out, such as Culling Strike (it does work, which you can see in the Phoenix kill), to sub in some others. I don't know if Empower works; it's just there to be leveled up. I would drop Empower and Vaal Haste for Faster Attacks and Blind, normally. Check my profile to see them.
Hello guys, I'm new to this build. looking for an upgrade, I got a problem with mana, 4-5 hits and I'm running out of mana. I'm currently 113k dps with tornado shot. Here my items:

Flat phys and WED is expensive AF on rings, especially steel. Do we need both?

It's good to have both. You can go for crit multi, crit chance, and attack speed, but Multi and Attack Speed have to be essence crafted. Flat damage is king, though. If you don't have anything, there's nothing for Doomfletch to scale.

If you need to, get some mediocre rolls in the mean time.

Your gear looks pretty good. Now you're mostly up to the min/maxing point on individual pieces. You can craft on one of your Diamond rings. It might be worth Divining your Doomfletch in the future, depending on your stat preferences.

Yeah it took me like 10 hours of gear searching to come up with something that would allow Oak to work correctly while not being garbage gear or terribly overpriced. I was thinking of adding accuracy to the ring? Although I'm already at 91-92% hit .. not sure there. What would divining my Doom give me? More IAS or crit?

And for what situations do you choose to run Yriels?

I run with 88%~ accuracy, so I couldn't tell you. As for Yriel's, I usually wear it for mapping. It works for Guardians and harder bosses, but some extra defensive steps will be desired for them. Otherwise, I do prefer Kaom's for tougher stuff.
Building this in Standard; I have a legacy Reach of the council, should I use rotc instead for mapping than a 6l doomfletch?

Rotc: WED, Phys to Lightning, Increase Crit strike, PPAD, Pierce, Lightning Arrow
Gets me around 45k tooltip dps

Doomfletch prism: WED, PPAD, Increase Crit Strike, GMP, Pierce, Lightning Arrow
19k tooltip dps
