I'd just be be looking for gear with the stats I mentioned in the guide :) And the the gems are listed in order of importance for the gem setup. just get each gem as soon as you can :)

Yeah, go for resolute technique asap. I'm pretty sure the reason he doesn't have it in the build is because the main weapon itself makes it so that your attacks cannot miss, hence later on you use orb of regret and respect it to something useful.
