Blood magic makes you reserve life instead of mana and Starforge removes all elemental damage from attacks, making heralds, hatred, etc. pretty useless.

So before I get starforge I can use any auras ?

Any high DPS 2 hand weapon will work, whether you like axes or swords more is up to you.

He has them in the video guide. Pretty much depends on your variant of the build, so basically your weapon type.

They all have different strengths and weaknesses, it's up to you to decide what to use before Starforge/Atziri's Disfavour. For instance, if you're going with Hezmana's, you can skip getting Blood Magic for a while and use Hatred/Herald of Ash in the meantime since you aren't reserving life. If you're using Hiltless, you can achieve a similar effect if your main gem setup is in the weapon itself. Most of them just happen to be high DPS 2-handers with little added effects, but that's basically all you need.

For the bread and butter sword lacerate, would you consider getting the new bleed passives, with the new major node "Crimson Dance", Red storm next to it and Bloodletting, which got buffed?

we still deal about 1/3 of our on hit damage as chaos damage. brutality cuts that off entirely.
