How i designed my unique - Skyforth Sorcerer Boots
OMG. I am officially the luckiest person in perandus. First I chanced a pair, then I did it again, and now I just found a pair! Will be buying lottery ticket this week.

" Oh its true my friend. I was shocked the first time. The second time I was at a loss for words considering how many pair I had chanced before and then I chanced 2 Skyforths in less then 100-150 pair. But my surprise by actually finding them was unreal! Dropped off a rare Bull in Colosseum Map. There is only one other unidentified pair for sale in all Perandus and Standard. I have coveted these ever since they were released and I was none too happy when I heard about the drop level restriction. I always thought 84 was a bit too high and unrealistic. 83 would still have made them super rare but not insanely rare. If not for chance orbs and Cadiro, they would hardly even exist. |

Ive chanced 80 pairs and got none. How you get 100s of them? Can you chance sorc boots lower than ilvl 83?
The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.
Welcome to PoE. |

" Well first the drop level restriction for them is 84 not 83. Second, yes you can chance any level sorc boots. Chance orbs do not check item level. |

" " RIP. The chance to Vaal +1% maximum resists on an amulet is less than 1/300.

Havent read anything / seen the movie but from experience i can say that
Skyforth have the most lame design ever and i cant believe GGG actually agreed on making them. "Im missing this this and this to finish my build, make boots with all of those mods", am i right? " Admittedly, they are a very nice QoL. Free 7th link, a mana reservation breakpoint, can't be stunned, and a bit of max mana. Move speed is nice too (but whirling blades exists, so keep that in mind). At the same time, your drawback is that you get absolutely no stats from them. No resists, no additional ES, so for anyone that isn't overly dependent on auras, uses cyclone, and can generate power charges in another way, these things are completely redundant. |

"Except +60-120 Mana... "Not really true, everyone who uses power charges *can* generate them in some other way, but that doesn't mean the extra charge generation is redundant. Assassin's Mark users are now free to change their curse if they want to. PCoC users get an extra support slot, or, don't need to waste time casting ice spear. Power Siphon users can use an actually good skill instead. etc.... ------------------------------------ I like the fact that the boots are OP but hard to get. It's fine to have items that are BiS which you can work towards owning. What makes me sad is that the mechanics of the boots are not interesting. Skyforth wants some way to generate power charges without needing to rely on PCoC. Interesting solution would be to make a new mechanic for generating power charges (eg: 5% chance to generate a power charge on crit per power charge, or, 40% chance minus 5% per power charge, or something that would actually take some thought to building around them.) Boring solution is just to give them exactly the same mechanics as PCoC, so they are no-brainer BiS for all power charge builds. Skyforth wants them to make it easier for low-life build to reserve auras on life. Interesting solution would be to give them '10% less mana reserved', or even something awesome like '6% reduced life reserved'. Boring solution is just to make them the no-brainer BiS for all mana reservation builds by making them give reduced mana reserved. Skyforth wants them to free up an amulet slot for low-life and CI builds. GGG actually made an interesting mechanic this time. The stun threshold based on mana is great (as Skyforth points out in the video - it's only stun, not other status ailments). If only the other two bonuses were this cool. The last issue I have is with 'you have no life regeneration'. This is not even a downside for many of the builds that will use it, because Vaal Pact gives the exact same downside already. The boring things above would be OK if the downside actually mattered at all. Maybe if it said 'your energy shield cannot recharge', that would have been a pretty cool downside (or even an up side, for builds that want to stay on 0 ES). ----------------- Altogether this is a nice unique that is fun to aim for, enables lots of build ideas, and it seems like it had a lot of thought put in to them by GGG and by the designer. It's a shame that after all of that effort, the end result was just a boringly OP item. You can just slot them into most builds that can use them and have them work fine, no thought required. Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/657756 Editado por útlima vez por dudiobugtron#4663 en 8 may. 2016 20:33:32
