Any rare dagger with good pdps is a nice replacement if you don't want to use bino's. Bino's is still a very nice dagger and if you haven't enough crit chance you should use one.

Actually I am getting them from Assassin's Mark + blasphemy and unstable infusion (assassin ascendancy class). If you are playing with physical to lightning you can also use Herald of thunder with curse on hit. Both options work very well.

Sure, there is no reason why it shouldn't work.

what are the ascendancy points in the assasin tree?

After some gameplay I came to the conclusion that unstable infusion + deadly infusion and toxic delivery are the best choices for assassin.
