what does "SocketGroup W" means?

It's for when you corrupt a strongbox, and an item drops with a white socket.

Also, this line would exclude any unset rings with a white socket.

Are you sure about that? I tried yesterday a different lootfilter and while pressing "Z" the hidden items were remaining hidden.

It also depends on how you have your UI settings. I have "always highlight" on. Do you?

Edit: I think you're pressing the "show" button, not the "highlight" button. There's a difference. I believe Alt is the default key. Try that one.

4L items are relatively early in the list and have no special colouring. So, they will always show up (if below ilvl66) but the second rule about rbg is ignored.

(don't know if this is intended, if you value rgb higher, you can move that block up)

they dont get the light grey background as other rgb items. I just havent looked into the whole script thing AT ALL, so i havent really an idea where to look for specific things :D
