New tier, rare only... Are mirrors and eternals being removed?

They will still do the same damage no? There are just new items appearing to fill niches that were very hard to do previously.

And yes within a week there will be mirrorable versions of most of those items but its standard so no sense balancing the game around that.

I don't see the new weapon types being THAT much better (if any at all). At least the best daggers in game will still remain the best, same goes for bows, and attack based wands and those weapons are mirrored the most.

Also, doesn't anyone else think that they're most likely replacing some of the current base items with these? Spiked Mauls already exist for example.

Highborn/Imperial bows -> Reflex bows?
Vaal Blade -> Hook Sword
etc.

Any reason why 6x t1 weapon with specific rolls shouldn't be nuts?

For someone who has never used a GG weapon i find it prety funny for those who -Traded- and BOUGHT mirror worthy gear to complain about having to do so once again, such a shame indeed.

This is quite typical. This is PoE... people hates changes and progressions... item progression happens in every ARPG that's not dead.

Funny thing is on D3 forum they look forwards to go after those new release powerful items (eg like the recent ancient legendary)... but in PoE is mad QQ time...

This shows a flaw in PoE over focusing on trading simulator not on their actual ingame contents... people are always now scared of changes and item progressions which ironically is what keep other ARPG/MMORPG going...

Besides, to all you new boys thinking you are getting screwed coz you have Glyph Mark or some shit like that... people were already screwed years ago when GGG introduced Harbinger Bow... and so on.

yes, 865 pdps on this weapon against.. 920? (or whatever the max on a 2h axe is). for pure phys non crit builds, the 2h axe will still be better, it attacks slower, therefore has larger hits and so on.

sure if both go crit, the maraketh weapon will be much stronger, but the vaal axe isnt really meant to go crit. both will have different playstyles and their advantages, stop derping around just because of a weapon type being 10% stronger. (the implicit from the sword is being.. a bit strong though lol, 75% critdmg D:)

And those stats will never be achieved before the next tier come out in 2016...
It will take thousands and thousands of exalts and eternals to get near that... and even then it's really not much better unless you go crit...

This is an extremely minor power creep... trust me your oh so precious noskill's mark mirror harbinger bow will still sell for over 200ex easy.

swords and axes never had proper crit bases before, its not like they introduced 1000 pdps 5% base crit 2H swords and axes that are just straight upgrades of the old ones. If this was a diablo expansion you would have 5% base crit 2500 pdps 2H swords and axes that made all the old ones absolutely useless. Its not a new tier of gear, its new lines of gear.

Some of these will be the new favored base, of course. Sid keeps rattling on about Harbingers, well when they added implicits to bows the old versions didnt get those implicits, it was exactly the same deal where now theres a crit bow line and any weapons dropped before it was added are not part of that crit bow line, even though harbingers and decimation bows existed before it was essentially exactly the same situation.

Any weapon like swords that got a new base that will take over as the bis base were already woefully under used weapon types. Why not go daggers? Why not go 1H + shield and then go daggers? Well now that nonsense isnt going to exist. Non crit builds are still going to be happy with the old non crit bases, is my disfavour cyclone char gonna be shit now because a dagger axe exists? No, Im not a crit build I dont give a shot about dagger axes. But now those builds will exist too and anyone who felt forced into daggers/staves because "durrr crit I want the most tooltips ever duurrr dps is everything I got a big tool guys huu durrrrr" now has options.

Every weapon type that already had exciting bases has not been given a new potentially BiS weapon line, the reason some of these will take over is because that type of weapon was already a pretty shit, under used, unexciting type of weapon that needed a kick up the arse.
