Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page

Crystallized Omniscience is nice for resist fixing but absolutely not required to use Annihilating Light.

My league start has been pretty casual (only level 82 now), but I'm doing just fine running around in t8 maps with a 4L Annihilating Light and 5L Inpulsa's Broken Heart + Storm's Gift. The clear speed is incredible.

Some specific things you can do (and I did do) to fix resists with Annihilating Light:

* My current aura setup is Clarity, Wrath, Purity of Elements. You might give up some Wrath DPS for Determination if you don't like dying as much as I seem to. I don't have the reservation efficiency to run all three yet.
* I lucked into buying an Annihilating Light with only 63% reduced resistances for a reasonable price. Good luck?
* Divine Judgement on the tree has elemental mastery, which offers +15% elemental resistances.
* Asylum is easy to get to and gives some nice chaos resistance and reduced curse effect, but more importantly the mastery has an option that gives 12% all elemental resistances. If you fix your resists elsewhere later, you can unspec the whole orbit, or swap the mastery for one of the nice immunity options until you're ready to buy a cluster jewel (or have some other reason to spend those points).
* I'm in softcore, and I believe that if I'm paying for 6 portals, I should use all 6, at least occasionally.

My eventual plan is to go all in on a Herald of Thunder autobomber, but I figured I'd level and map with Arc Witch until I have the rest of the pieces. Because of this, some of my deviations from the guide may seem odd.

Ah, it seems you're a man of culture!
As previously mentioned, I've worked on a new endgame setup that doesn't require Crystallised Omniscience. The amulet is still used in the High Budget tier for anyone who wants to go all out with this build.

Please check the gear section and update to the new POB-setup!

I'm not using Brass Dome. Inpulsa's Broken Heart is a unique body armour that makes shocked enemies you kill explode, which combos with Storm's Gift gloves to make shocking and killing a single enemy often chain explode the entire pack. Brass Dome is probably a much better choice if you don't like dying.

I'm getting the elemental mastery via Divine Judgement, the elemental damage node on the left side of the passive tree.

Had a long break from the game and the ATLAS skill tree is a new feature for me.

So these are noob questions.
Anything I need to consider regarding ATLAS skill tree for this build?
Or its completely independent from the build anyway?

Thank you for your support.
@Abimo, this was new to me as well, but the short answer is: it's completely dependent on what sorts of encounters and rewards you want to prioritize. I personally enjoy getting more Delerium encounters, as the cluster jewels tend to be fairly lucrative (and I just find the Delirium design really enjoyable and rewarding), and I've also enjoyed getting more out of the Heists. But it's ultimately up to you, and the tree makes your maps highly customizable. Great addition!

@Enki, thank you for always helping us Arc Elementalists out. I appreciate all the work that you do.

For the first time ever, I decided to make a few *cough* purchases to help get the quite pricy gear recommended in the guide (I know it's been said many times now, but I agree that this is a VERY expensive build to function as laid out), but unfortunately I'm finding myself struggling mightily on rare T16 maps and especially on all of the games Big Bosses.

The build definitely feels tankier than previous builds, but there are so many things even among trash mobs that just randomly 1-shot me even when I'm fully potion'd, Molten Shell'd, and teleporting vigilantly away from things. It's quite frustrating!

Is there anything in my build that's obviously missing or should be tweaked in some way?

For those curious: I'd estimate my overall spending at about 75 EX so far.

So, I love this guide but I'm a little disappointed.

The Omniscience portion mentions "lower is better" whereas that is incorrect. I spent a little more Ex on it today to get 15% instead of an actually cheaper 25% thinking it was better - but it was/is not. (and also proceeded to get laughed at in chat - silly me)

Please update this to indicate that a higher % is better, since the more % it is, the less requirements are needed.
