That's not entirely accurate, by the real difference between the two requires much more analysis. You have to factor things like AS will be L1 ~25% of the time and L20 ~75%; that will factor into the value of buffing AS. Charges can be generated with a slight alteration of the build. Elementalist requires 4 gem slots and 4 passives which could be replaced by a 4L SB or OoS. The Golems, though, bring a very unique function to the build sijika to Hierophant's 10% MoM.

I say it boils down to Elementalist will outperform in dps whereas Hierophant excels at defense. Elementalist is all the more expensive option as it scales much better.

Hopefully someone can answer this, cause I'm a bit confused. Would Shaper of Storms (new ascendancy node) be a contender for higher DPS, if you linked a different support gem other than elemental focus?

Are the other ascendancy nodes (other than golem ones) better than this option?

Hello! What about ark + hydrosphere? What do you think?

The only thing I'm worried about is if the mana sustain will be as good as it was last patch (Necro).. I had a rough time playing this on SSF because it was so hard sustaining mana without the Atziri's Foible. Once I got it the built got way smoother to play.

Did we lose a lot of mana recovery or is there any difference at all?
I'm mostly thinking about Essence Glutton from the Necromancer ascension, that node did A LOT paired with the amount of corpses you made/consumed as a Necro.

Thoughts? Don't wanna jump into this League feeling bad about mana sustain.

Hey and I just want to say THANK YOU for such an in depth guide for new players! I've only recently started and I plan on running this build in the next league, but I have one question. I noticed when checking the passive trees towards lvl 80 onwards you only have 44% lightening resist. Does this build have some kind of built in light resist that we dont need the 75, or did I miss something in the guide?

I do admit this new version is the main thing inspiring me to play the next league, I really like the new Elementalist style.
