I would say that it is a very easy build to get started on in trade league, I suspect it is much less enjoyable in SSF. As soon as you can you need to spend currency to get a trigger wand to automate the casting of desecrate and bone offering. The build has good map clear and good survivability which both allow quick gathering of currency with which you can take the build to higher levels with better gear. Each of the leagues I have played I have found a few items that work well with the build but most of the end game items I trade for. I don't know if there is someone out there crafting good items or if they are being found. Perhaps it is a mix where someone is trying to craft something else but hits good mods for this build and sells the item since they can't use it.
There are still good items out there but one thing I would suggest is to learn the build now, at the end of this league, and then use it to start the next league. The player base seems to be far more active the first month or so of a new league and that is when you have the widest availability of good items. Right now there are a number of items I would like to buy that were listed weeks or more ago but it appears that the person with the item is no longer playing regularly so now I can't buy it.
Plowing through the story quickly and getting to maps is what I intend to do next league. While I will never do it as quickly as those who take time off from work to play I think I can still get there quick enough to ride the wave of the market and acquire good items while they are most available.
Well i only play on standard so its gonna be a bit harder to get items but hope i will be able to complete the build and finish the end game for once!
Has anyone else experimented with using the regular righteous fire? I remember turning it on once towards the start of the league and watching my life rapidly decrease to nothing. Never occurred to me to try it again until tonight but now I can turn it on and remain at full health. Still not sure what the impact is on survivability but in the one map I ran with delirium to check it out it seemed like not a huge issue. I took a few hits and life and mana seemed to recover essentially the same as before, POB shows only a 415 in net life degen and net mana regen goes from 8.1k to 7.75k which doesn't seem like a big deal.
Base damage is 3.6m
Righteous Fire on 5.1m (sustained)
Vaal RF with Regular RF 6.5m (duration)
Vaal RF w/o Regular RF 4.7m (duration)
I assume it takes a toll on how tanky my witch is but generally in maps that's not much of an issue. If anyone has used it consistently I would like to know if there are map mods or other considerations for when it should not be turned on.
I plan to continue experimenting with it, especially in delirious maps and delve where the extra damage would be helpful against mobs, will have to see if the rate that I get one shot increases dramatically. Might also roll an Enduring Life Flask so that I can always have it going to offset the life degen from RF, assuming it works that way. Do I also get more usefulness from Cinderswallow which recovers 3% of life during flask effect? POB doesn't seem to indicate a change in anything when it is turned on but perhaps it wouldn't.
Here is the POB if anyone wants to look at it, I think I have all the settings done correctly to get an accurate picture.

I almost always turn normal RF on. Things that kill this build are one shots or no-regen. So for most case we just need to make sure fire resistance is good + regen is not changed by map mods.
Divergent version is a bit better.
You don't get additional benefit from Cinderswallow much on this, because the flask recovery seems immediate, while this degen is DoT
Map mods to avoid turning on:
* cursed by elemental weakness (flask can help but not safe on boss)
* -x maximum resistance
* no life/mana regen (we'll avoid this anyway)
* less life recovery rate (you need to keep killing and cannot be idle, kind of ok)
* Shaper guardian: Pheonix (I died hard once when leveling, it has debuff skill to lower your fire res)

Question - if using Divergent can you still pop vaal RF for a short duration DPS boost?
I will have to be a bit more cautious when rolling my maps but hope I can now push up the % delirious with the extra damage. I really enjoy running the delirious maps (I use Basilica or Summit maps), Simulacrum, and Tropical Island maps with the 16c delirium duration mod. They are good income generators and have a fun fast-paced, perhaps frantic, play style. I think it is also easier on my hands than running a ton of maps to farm Sirus or other bosses. For 5 minutes you go like mad but then you get a break that is at least that long because you have to walk around and pick everything up so your hands get a nice break.
I have also been doing more of the heist missions for this same reason and now that I realize if you run the ones that require demolition you can easily get delirium orbs if you roll them right. While I have not been a big fan of heist I am now seeing the benefits a bit clearer - you can target farm certain currencies. I put the contracts back in my filter and have some thought to maybe even start picking up markers again to extend the rest time for my hands and be able to run more blueprints.

If you choose Divergent version, you'll not be able to run vaal RF. Yeah, that is a sacrifice between sustainable DPS vs. peak DPS, you can compare in POB to see whether the additional DPS worth it.
Personally I'm not a fan of Vaal RF version due to the immediate life loss, and I think having a backup gem in inventory to switch for boss can be one option.
About income, I'm really impressed by how much income you made : )

Hi pro exiles, I got this pretty good shield from heist, and I used alt+regal and got these pretty good mods that I can use, how should I proceed from here? The ideal mods that I am hoping to get are tier 1 mana, fire res, and hopefully good spell damage. Your inputs will be much appreciated! o><o
Does damage taken gained as mana over 4 seconds works for this build? is it worth to use this mod. I am playing SSF and struggle with mana regen. Overall love this build :)
I'm at level 78 with this build right now, and I generally like it (tanky, Arc is cool, clever concept) but my damage is weak and I don't totally understand why. My Shaper DPS is about 434k without RF, which seems low even for my level - BuckFutter has 3.7M at level 98, for instance.
Does anyone have tips? My next priority is to get a Thread of Hope and pick up Spiritual Aid, then start working on cluster jewels. PoB Community: https://pastebin.com/4Dszpq0U
A couple things that might help other noobs: 1) equipping Crowd of the Inward Eye recently gave me about a 50% damage boost; 2) I like using using Frost Wall in CWDT to help avoid getting swarmed; 3) Increased Mana Recovery (from Redeemer belts) acts like a more multiplier for regen, which makes a big difference.

Damage even on PoB it's not absolute, you must check your setting and see if they are the same as BuckFutter, a single unchecked box can change your damage from 400K to 1000K+.
