Hi guys !

I would like some high-end advice (since it's the first time I have this much gear - and money - in any league). I have ~25-30ex in stock (which is not a lot for some people, but still extremely rich to me :D )

Right now I just upgraded to Cluster Jewels (with Unnerve / Culling Strike vs cursed ennemies), and am perfectly able to run RF.

I don't know if it would be best to
- Get awakened gems (except spell echo, too expensive)
- Get a weapon with Spell cascade (my weapon is pretty good, I don't know how much better it could get)
- Get a ring with Conductivity on hit (getting one with similar stats to mine should be quite difficult, I could try crafting it but don't know how I would be doing this)
- Get gloves with Culling Strike - and change my medium cluster jewel
- Get a better shield (more mana, eventually life on block, more resist to be able to upgrade other stuff more easily)
- Get a Watcher's eye with 2 usefull mods
- Something I didn't think about (redeemer's belt, boots ? )

What would you advice ?

Thanks everyone ;)

I'm probably in a similar position as you so this is not so much an advice but sharing what's on my mind:

* Awakened gems are straightforward upgrades because most are cheap and we don't benefit from alternative quality(that said, you can definitely upgrade to anomalous wrath and divergent arcane surge, as their original quality does absolutely nothing for us)

* One of the benefit of spell cascade weapon is that it also affects conductivity/blade blast or whatever active AoE you put in the socket. So the coverage becomes larger and enemies are often cursed/unnerved before you hit them. Of course your current one is pretty good, so maybe not try to upgrade right away but keep that in mind.

* As I said you gain some benefit if you put an actual conductivity in wand. If you really want to have it on ring and would like to craft it yourself, you could maybe try to use cogwork ring. Conductivity is a suffix so it competes with resistance/mana regeneration mods. You can have 4 suffixes on that ring(and 2 prefixes, just perfect for life/mana). Obviously it's not going to be easy but worth a try.

* Culling strike gloves is also good because it's unconditional. Unnerve notable on the cluster jewel is still worth it in my opinion. You can either save 1 passive skill point for Wish for Death, or use Tempt the Storm in its place to further boost conductivity and increase cast speed. Or you can switch to a different jewel, sure.

* For shield, you can do the awakener craft. Your current base is okay since it provides life, but you can also consider other bases for spell damage / effect on block implicits.

* Redeemer's belt is really good and easily craftable. Do that. Remember to quality it too.

* Get right enchants on the crown.

* Boots can be tailwind, but together with good base and enchant it's also not easily obtainable.

* If you want to survive in even harder content, try to get fortify/endurance charges. There are various setups for this.

* If more damage is your thing, get frenzy charge generation and have +1 frenzy charge on your gloves. It's more damage multiplier(and cast speed). You could also get an additional curse, possibly elemental weakness. To do so you'll have to either use awakened hextouch, or some weird uniques like Windshriek, or change the passive tree. Reducing enemy resistance is one of the best boost to DPS. But that got countered in hex proof maps of course. New Heat-attuned Tower shield also have resistance reduction on block. You can also have some penetration on weapon or use The Wise Oak. All of these amount to sacrificing something in the original build, but if you think the DPS is worth it just play with whatever idea you think of. Like another guy said this is the fun of PoE.

Could someone offer some advice to get more tanky. I keep getting one shot versus bosses/certain rare mobs. I didn't have any issue until tier 11/12 maps and now I just seem to be butter if I get a strong metamorph or boss.

Damage isn't an issue versus 90% of the enemies, but I'm fairly new to PoE and I don't know where to improve to further my build. Currently lvl 88:

Your wand doesn't have trigger. Are you sure you always desecrate and have bone offering up? Try to get a trigger wand first.

Also, since your wand don't have spell cascade, you might not be spawning enough corpses. The standard setup is to use spell cascade to support desecrate until you get a spell cascade wand.

You might want to switch to a non corrupted Atziri's foible to anoint it.

Get recover % maximum mana on block on your shield.

Even if you do not want to use Cloak of defiance, try to get a shaper armour with "10% of Damage is taken from mana before life". Trade link: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Heist/ogLeYcl

You should be able to get a better pair of gloves without spending too much. Most stats on the current one are not helpful.

This is just regarding your gears. If you have non standard passive tree allocation you might need to share it as well so we can give further suggestions.

I'll look into trigger, thanks. While I don't have cascade I have echo so I cast desecrate twice from one cast.

What should I be anointing it with?

My tree is standard so I feel it is gear/ how I am playing, but as I said I had no trouble getting to tier 11. I just seem to hit an enemy every now and then that breaks me.

Thanks for the advice I'll see what I can do :D

Spell Echo doesn't support triggered spells, so it shouldn't be working on your wand. That means you're losing a decent amount of mana regen and other stats from necro ascendancy. I strongly recommend spell cascade here. You can get Conductivity elsewhere, like in your cwdt setup, on a ring, or fit in with a secondary damage spell like Storm Brand or Orb of Storms.

I'd anoint Mana Flows if you have the chaos or Mind Drinker for a budget version. There are also some good alternative suggestions 5-7 pages back.

Also, unlink your Clarity from the other two gems. The Second Wind is causing it to reserve an extra 25% additional mana, which is an unnecessary hindrance.

A noob question here.

But how can you get a DPS around 1 mil dps?

When I look in game and looking at the "Arc" spell I have around 40k DPS and I am L84.

Where is the main DPS coming from? ^^

The in-game tool tip DPS isn't actually how much damage you'll be doing (and unfortunately this is the case for most builds). This build gets the majority of its damage through a couple of mechanics, the primary one being spending mana (archmage).

Have a look at the first page of the guide, in the "Path of Building" section, expand out that part and get 'Path of Building' installed. This will allow you to import your character and that will be the best way to know your 'true' DPS.

Edit: Further to the above, as you are new, I cannot put enough emphasis on how important it is that you read the ENTIRE guide, all of it. Yes, there is a lot of text, and yes, there is a lot to take in/understand, but you will come out of it so much better off, not only for this build, but for any others you decide to try in future leagues. It really is one of the best guides I've seen, period.

Regards,
Cypr3ss.

Okej I will use Pob instead. Thanks for the response. ^^
Thank you Worder! There is so much info to take onboard, I really appreciate it!

Finally got to try this after getting the enchant from lab run. So happy for the speed increase and the possibility to use other flasks! Do you use the same setup for mapping and bossing? I found my mana to run out a bit faster when bursting the boss. Also, do you plan to corrupt yours eventually to get more ms?
Thanks for the answers everyone, I'll definitely try some suggestions !!

I do use the same setup for bossing, yes. It's more mana-intensive, but I haven't noticed it being an issue. Part of it is the mana loss, and part is the increased cast speed. I do not plan on corrupting mine because I will absolutely brick or poof them if I try. ;)

Here is my first attempt at A8 Sirus, for whoever's interested:

I STILL cannot provide a PoB! Now it's trying to update but just getting stuck on the first part of the installation. So annoying. Again, is anyone NOT having this problem?!

Good job on Sirus! It went very smooth, shame about the loot - although that's about all I've have from him in (no orbs, no gems, and only 1 'Terror' watchstone - beyond that, no uniques other than gloves every time).

Do you mean provide a PoB as in a build link? If so, PoB generation seems to be work for me, this is my link which should be fine if you want to test it: https://pastebin.com/Y8RzY5Ki Although, I'm using the community fork build rather than the official build.

Hey Guys, can you take a look in my profile and give me advice what should I do next to progress a bit?
I feel like the biggest issue right now is survivability, quite often I die because of one-two hits.
Should I invest first in raising block chance or having higher damage from mana before life or something else?

For me you have a few things you can quickly improve:
- (just in case) energy shield is useless (I see you have nice ES buffs on belt/boots)
- No mana on your ring, you can find some interesting stuff on trade for ~20c https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Heist/2dkmoOVFk
- No mana on your boots, ~ 10c https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Heist/MEX35g6FJ
- Your body armour has no mana.

For body armour, It'll heavily depend on your budget:
- Just get something similar, with mana ~40c with better res than yours
- Get increased effects of offerings (didn't find much with 6L so you might want to do your links yourself, ~20c + jewels/fusings/chroms) https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Heist/4DgEklwC9
- Get Cloack of Defiance (~250c for 6L)
- (rare with offerings AND damage taken from mana probably way too expensive, can't be found on market and requires huge experience/money to craft :p)
