i see alot of people talking about gem set ups, but noone mentions increased critical damage. it is about the same to me as slower projectiles in the tooltip. i use ts-gmp-ppad-pierce-fa-icd works realy well for me. u can also use assasins mark to make it even better.

We don't mention it much because Increase critical strikes performs equally well and use less mana. I'd rather get more critical strikes than harder ones.

So is my setup okay so far or should i change it?
AOE SA - PPAD - FA - Chain - Added Fire DmG - (If i get 6l ill put LL or ICM ?) Single Target Frenzy - PPAD - FA - SP - Added Fire DmG - (If i get 6l ill put ICM ?) I saw some use instead of Added fire dmg, WED. Why is that? And i saw that some othe use as 5th link physical to lightning... Could someone explain me the differences?. Thanks. |

" Gem, that increases critical multiplier, is called "Increased Critical Damage" (ICD). WED is good for DPS tooltip if you already put AFD or PtL or you use LA/Ice Shot. Otherwise it's BAD choice. It increased elemental damage only though, so you may need to stack more leech on gear to compensate. PtL provides shock, which may drastically increase clear speed VS packs. Its downside is that it cuts your physical damage by half, and so does your life/mana leech (you need to stack more leech on gear to compensate). SP (instead of AFD) grants physical damage boost, which cant be resisted and provides leech. However, some players find it uncomfortable to run with slower projectile speed. Your setup is OK, but i'd suggested to try other options as well (full physical with SP, and shock with PtL) for your AoE skill. And you netter go full physical with 1-target setup, as hitting 1 target doesnt provide much leech.
