[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses

I keep holding off on master crafting my bow because I don't get perfect mods. Can't tell you how many alts I've "wasted". Not the best recipe for a mostly self-found gear player who's terrible at the currency game within the game...

New player here, sorry if my questions are stupid. There are some parts I don't quite understand in the guide, but the most puzzling is the Skills part where different paths are shown for the gems.

Are the pictures just showing a visualization of the different options for linked gems in the path? I can see why there are 2 paths for a character without Drillneck and one with Drillneck, but what's the third path for?

Also, I'm currently running a level 32 ranger with some very poor Passive choices (because I was oblivious to the importance of survivability as well as the difficulty of changing the choices later on).

I'll link my choices below and if someone could tell me if this character is still salvageable (without the need of a great number of Orbs of Regret) I would greatly appreciate. I currently have 6 refund points from quests and I haven't spent any on the character.

These are what passives I have currently taken for my Ranger.

Here's the 32-point skill map of this build for quick reference.

Thanks in advance for the help ^^

Yeah I know but it's too late now... I think I'm gonna make a fresh character since I'm not even that high level yet

Just hit level 90 in the one month flashback league (softcore).

18k nado shot in a 5-link with a crit multi gem. I farm with crit strikes gem though for more consistent crits.

Tree @ lvl 90

Once I get a 6-link I'll most likely need to spec into Soul Siphon for the additional mana. Till then I picked up Master Fletcher.
I guess the answer to my qustion is well-known, but i still can't find a straight.
Playing on hardcore leagues now and then, and enjoy this build quite a lot - but some things scratching my mind:
1: Why not iron reflexes, given that one has A LOT of eva? Currently i got my hands on some nice items, and my evasion skyrocketed. What will give more "surviveability" - lightning coil(and pure-eva), or 2k+ eva chest + iron reflexes? And also can it be worthy to use purity of lightning /w coil over grace?
i kinda fear getting one-shotted through evasion% and cwdt setup.
2: Rats nest vs alpha's? again, toughness-wise. this question goes along with first, because i enjoyed oldschool alpha's+grace+iron reflexes.
Thank you in advance.

@shadowwordhate

I personally run rat's nest...its gives a lot for me....i also play in HC league. I run everysingle map mod there is up to 75 maps including physical reflect and have never died to reflect....high evasion/ondar's and cwdt guarantee you'll never die to reflect.
we will see how well ondars works after awakening with the ongoing balance "nerf".
Why not use chain instead of piercing?

And furthermore: Wouldn't Bloodletting be interesting for the puncture skill?

Thought it'd be pretty funny to see how many uniques I could cram into this ranger and still have resistance caps and be somewhat viable. Turns out all these uniques made the build a lot cheaper.

Using infractem essentially makes all your cheap 5L into psuedo-6L because there's no need for pierce anymore. Thief's Torment easily makes up for no life/mana leech, but then it brings a whole new downside of lower crit and resistances.

While I would have liked to use drillneck, the fact is, the only non-unique pieces I had were an amulet and quiver.

Anyways, in total all the pieces together probably costed around 5-6 exalts.

Having +63% speed is really nice. Might want to mention I took the +1 endurance charge because I'm using daresso's.

And the passive tree doesn't change a whole lot. I decided to go for the scion life wheel
