[3.22 UPDATED] Bergerbrush's Beginner Friendly Toxic Rain Raider

3.22 Updates

Not many changes except that I now dropped Determination in the Raider Version, in order to sustain mana easier, and skipping all the trouble of getting 0 mana cost. It now instead has more damage, more evasion, it's a lot easier to gear and just as fast as before!

Here are all the PoB's for this League!

Leveling PoB:

Stage 3 PoB: https://pobb.in/mtrilWGCW7H_

Stage 4 PoB: https://pobb.in/AzsNDC_oy_VH

Pathfinder Version
I am also adding a pathfinder version here that is easier to gear, has determination for more tankiness when getting hit, and also has constant flask uptime on almost all flasks, making the character extremely easy to play!

This version has lower damage and less movement speed though, so keep that in mind if you wanna play it!

Hello Berger!

I had so much fun building this character, but I feel like I am doing everything wrong to get the dmg.

In my experience with TR builds, I am not getting the point on how to scale the build and I feel like I am doing everything wrong.

Could you take a look at my pob and see what's the problem? I am a casual player and I do not know a lot of PoE, and I am trying to learn.

Thank you in advance for the in-deph guide :)

So right now I would say, you have some pretty good gear pieces, and some pretty bad gear pieces^^

One thing that makes Toxic Rain scale very well is attack speed, gem levels and hitting the 39% AoE threshold as well for the pods to overlap.

I would suggest first that you re-use essences on your bow, and try to get +2 bow gem levels, attack speed and an open suffix to craft chaos damage over time multiplier, because that is also good for your damage. Things like chaos damage% and chaos damage to attacks might sound good but it don't really add anything. You want damage over time and especially multiplier. And the weapon attack speed scales your overall attack speed a lot, so its important to get a weapon with high APS. And even just a 13% attack speed modifier would make your bow go from 1.5aps to 1.7aps on the base, which would be huge.

Your quiver for example is great since it has attack speed, damage% with bow skills and damage over time multiplier with attack skills!

And craft the 9% AoE on your helmet or your boots, so you get the 39% AoE threshold for the extra overlap pod. That is basicly 20% more damage as well.

Then you just need to keep farming money, add your second cluster jewel which will also be quite huge. And then start working on your endgame bow, which will be quite expensive. But that bow is gonna give you sooo much damage when you add empower later as well!

Ohh, and your amulet is disgustingly good, HOLY MOLY!
Excellent response man.

I am kind of getting the point right now.
I have a +3 bow which silly me thought that I was going to get it 6 linked with fusings. 250c and counting. But it is still cheaper than a 6L +3 bow yet.
Also, that amulet costed me like 40c and I am quite impressed XD.

Thank you so much. I will give you an update soon
Hey, I have a beginner friend of mine who's using this build, but he says he has a lot of mana trouble, I'm a noob myself but I didn't see any kind of leech or mana reduce cost on rings or something ? How do you guys sustain mana ?

Hey, i am using this build and really enjoying it.

I am in step 3 and i want to go to step 4. I understand you use determination with enlighten but in the tree you don t use mana leech node anymore and you have only 26 mana.

How you can regen? i checked and havnt seen. If someone can reply^^ thx
