Checking Resources?

I've seen a LOT of threads on this issue, and what solved it for me WASN'T waiting hours and hours. I just opened it and closed it a few times (as administrator) and on about the 3rd try it only stayed on the checking resources stage for probably 30 seconds.

It started to download for me after I disabled my antivirus software.

Any other solutions?
Game used to work just fine up till few days ago, then ever since new patch it's been checking resources for eternity. Currently I have uninstalled the game and tried to reinstall, but still, checking resources with no progress. tried Administrator and all, but no change. Please ASSIST!!! ....._______

I came here to find a new game to play since I've exhausted all my other options (Laptop isn't the best) but it seems I'm also stuck with "Checking Resources" I've tried running Administrator but it doesn't work I've been restarting the game for about a hour no and it happens every time.
