There Is No Cold Damage Channeling Skill

Have like a Blizzard spell or something is what I would say.

Large channeled nova. AoE, DoT, probably a solid slow.
Why don't we just copy tul's most obnoxious move and give players that projectile thingy he likes to kill people with?

more or less a cold version of the beams from the sky suncaller asha uses, but just a single beam that has to be channeled. Damage/effect buildup mechanic similar to SR, with a different type of hitbox.

yeah, more or less. One other difference (possibly) being that once the enemies leave the aoe they immediately stop taking DoT (as opposed to SR where the DoT lasts after leaving). Based on GGG's definition of area damage on DoTs, it'd be able to scale on area damage that way.

(Although tbh it might not be worth it if that makes it feel too much clunkier, which it might... SR's DoT persisting after exiting the beam makes it feel smoother after all)

Nah it would probably be much better than SR if the beam had a reasonable AoE to begin with.
