Not sure what you mean. My installation is via steam. Do I rename poe shortcut in its directory? Just change its name or?

Tried it, does not work sadly... :( still missing textures, still disconnects.
Why do you think it's my HDD btw? You think it became faulty over time or sth?

When GGG implemented this "alternative asynchronous asset loading system" i (and many other players as well) had all the same issues with textures, "first loading double disconnect to menu" and such.

Adding launch properties helps in 99% of cases for "slow PC or\and PC with low amount of RAM".

Just checking, are you sure you've done everything right with "launch option"?

Hmm I maybe I did sth wrong.. here is what I did:
1. Click properties go to launcher settings:



2. Space was empty

I can confirm that the method which HarukaTeno suggested actually works! I repeat it WORKS! Thanks a bunch my dude! :)
The game takes a lot longer to load now but I would rather take that than the missing textures/disconnects any day.

The solution posted by HarukaTeno appears to have worked for me, too. I've tried installing it on multiple SSDs and HDDs, and the only thing that resolved the issue is what HarukaTeno posted. It's quite frustrating.

Current specs are:
i5 4690k @ stock
GTX 980 @ stock
16GB @ 1600Mhz
