sorceress or witch?

Hey!

I was curious as to which magic person (for lack of a better word) I should use, sorceress or witch?

I know technically I could be/use either one without much drawbacks, like a sorceress using minions and such. But I am not sure if there is a recommendation, preference, or better skill set to use for magic.

To elaborate, I was thinking of using a elemental build (fire, ice, lighting, maybe fire more so, fire is cool).

I suppose I want to hear some recommendations and preferences.
