Memory Leak POE 2
Never had this problem in the other patches , but im pretty sure there is a memory leak issue.
I was on act 3 ( doesnt matter where rly) and the metrics were saying i was using around 3 gb of ram, whyle in task manager it was saying around 9. I play fine for 15 mins then i guess the game ate all the ram so the game freezes a bunch of times whyle playing and it also makes my computer rly slow. Yup same is happening for me, it's also seems to start leaking or using more and more vram over time as well.

I'm also thinking its a memory leak. I play buttery smooth for around 10-30 minutes then im stuttering and freezing everywhere. Not sure if its on theyre radar but hopefully its fixed cause its unplayable.

Been testing this out, there is definitely a memory leak. Was afk for a while in my hideout, then tabbed back in and the game was frozen. This has happened 3 times tonight. After the second time, I decided to test it and left all the graphs on screen. Now, I didn't pay attention to HOW long it took, but when I looked back at the game VRAM usage had doubled and when I clicked back in everything was stuttering badly.

Same here. 2h+ of gameplay and it takes approx 12-16gb of ram.

At launch i didnt have an issue really but now i cant play for longer than 30 minutes without my RAM skyrocketing and crashing the game without any error. This memory leak needs to be top priority for them.

I have also noticed the exact same issue.
In-game performance chart shows 5.4GB Memory usage, but when I check Xbox gamebar and Task Manager, they both show 70% memory usage, at least 20GB. This wasn't the issue before the latest patch, or either Act 4. Perhaps a hotfix or patch messed it up. When the game starts to eat up more and more memory game becomes slower, stutters severely, and drops down to low 10fps. Then a restart solves it, but then after a while, the same issues come back. Even the launch of 0.3, performance has been way lower overall. On 0.2 other hotfix and patches, with RTX 4090 and AMD 9950X3D, I was getting constant 144fps in towns and occasional drops in heavy CPU usage areas with particles and enemies to 120 or so. But 0.3 performance has been very low and inconsistent, in towns, fps are always fluctuating from 135 to 110, and campaign areas are even worse, dropping down to as low as 40s, and the average is 100. |
