SSF finally gave up
SSF in it's current state is the worst nightmare, you get stuck at 90+, it's a huge wall with no good currency, no good loot, cannot craft anything useful, you just grind all day long for hours, hours and hours with not a single thing to upgrade, it's a huge pain and worst SSF experience i have ever had...I now moved everything to trade league which I feel forced to and I truly hate but at least I have the currency market I can use, WILL NEVER trade thru your site or ingame with other people, it's the worst experience ever...Played Last Epoch when 1.2 came out and man what a big big big difference in SSF it was, if it wasent for the horible graphics in LE i would probably be playing that now instead of POE2..

" I have played arpgs my whole life but when you grow up you don't have the time to invest a full time job into a game, if that is the direction GGG is taking with this game then sure we can call it "skill issue" when you are not properly rewarded for the time invested so you actually can gear your characther how your want/need... |

" I do agree that Breach Rings are scarcer than in 0.1 but I made all the way to Xesht 82 with a mid tier LS build. The times I died was mainly because he spammed all the skills all the same time, usually the freezing little helper with the hands out of the floor and suddenly the flying hand was also there and I didn't noticed it... Now it's not really a problem, it's still a 1 or 2 minute fight at 82 but I got used to the sound queues and visual queues... You just need to change your mindset... I learned something with Destiny 2 competitive PvP, always record the match and watch later to get a better perception of what happened, sometimes I do it on PoE2, and 99% of the time I fail due to my own mistakes. Saving footage and watching it does help sometimes to pass obstacles. |

I am a dedicated SSF player too and i share the misery!
PoE2 in its current state is not suited for SSF at all unfortunatly. And the reason is not the lack of drops, or that SSF would need an advantage over trade, like it is done in Last Epoch. PoE2 has one glaring issue when it comes to SSF (and in my opinion, this also massively influences trade, but people are somewhat blind to see it unfortunatly): There is no crafting in PoE2. Even with the sligt buffs to Ritual, the introduction of Recombinators and Fracturing orbs and all, the odds of actually crafting something useful for your build are incredibly low and the process of doing so is extremely tedious and not fun to do at all. The only way to increase your chances of beating the odds is to spam your transmutes, augments, regals and alchs on every possible opportunity you have. There is no agency, no strategy or direction. Just spamming and spamming until something useful comes out of it. Maybe you can safe items with a good affix and try to create a 2 mod base with recombs, but even staring with a two mod base, the odds of exalting it to something good are still so low. I dont think people realize how rigged this casino is against you ... I still believe PoE1's SSF crafting and gear progression to be the best in any RPG for people who have the time and dedication to sink their teeth in it. For me, it beats even LE by a mile (and LE is very good too, dont get me wrong). To have such a bad crafting in gear progression in PoE2 breaks my heart and might be the reason why i will give up on it at some point. |

" No one but yourself is forcing you to play a game that always was grindy and well known for being so. But then again, have you not played Diablo 2, which requires much more time for its experience growth design and its lack of good leveling options on demand? Never play the age card, this can only backfire. |
