[ PS5 / Xbox Trade ] This is the solution for INVALID QUERY error

Earlier this week i found out this error is due to one thing only :

- the account you are playing with is your Xbox / PS5 account
- the account you are trading with is your GGG account

Both accounts are different = INVALID QUERY

This took me a while to realize it because on Console there is no "type your account name / password to log in" moment , PoE 2 on Console launch forcibly the game with your Xbox / PS5 account every time and does not state it is doing so anywhere . After dozens of hours / days ingame most people would assume they registered and were playing with their GGG account , but no you were using your console account since day one .

So for trading to work on Console you are forced to log to the trading website with your Xbox / PS5 official account .

I should be using my microsoft account username and password to log in to which url? Can you please provide a simple step-by-step explanation?

When opening the trade website you must click on the Xbox/PS5 icon first . Then you enter the login/password of your Xbox/PS5 account . On PS5 the login is your email adress , don't remember about Xbox she's been taking the dust for a while .

Once you done this your PoE 2 console account will be linked with PoE 2 trading account = no more invalid query .

I totally understand your frustration. I linked my Xbox account with my POE1 account too, and despite playing since day one, I still don’t have access to POE2 according to the site. It can be really disappointing.
