Invoker Monk "Sunder My Enemies" passive question

So as the title says Sunder my enemies is "locked" between stuff that only works with "Hits" IE. Attacks i would assume beings that the Elemental Storm from the Sorceress ascendncy passive specifically states "spell" crits so was i safe to assume when i Rage deleted my Invoker that my spell crits were not proc'ing the Sunder My Enemies???
