Quest not updating,l.

After retrieving the 2 medium soul cores for Alva, I logged out before beating the boss summoned by picking up the large soul core. I cannot pickup the soul core now to trigger the fight.

The ground the ground lighting caused by charging the generators has disappeared however the quest still says to pick up the large soul core.
